Rose was gone, gone forever. The Doctor had tried for centuries to make his way back to her side, he had grown old and grey in the pursuit and never had another person on the Tardis, in all that time. It was no good. He did everything he could think of. He prayed, he begged the Tardis, he paid anyone who said they could help him, he tried over and over again to find Rose. Nothing worked. Every night he dialled her mobile. One time she had to pick up, he just knew it. Every night for centuries he did this until his fingers were so old and withered he couldn't use them to dial.
The Doctor had stopped looking in mirrors a long time ago. He was an old man when he stopped and now he was afraid to see what he had become. People ran away when they saw him. He must be pretty bad he thought but nothing mattered withiout his sweet Rose by his side.
Finally he went back to the place he had known her. He stood at the Powell Estates and waited. It was all over now, he could feel it in his bones. He had no will to live without Rose and he gave up, he would never find her now. He willed away his last regeneratons and felt himself dying for the last time.
"I will always love you Rose Tyler always." He said as a single lonely sad tear trickled down his cheek to fal in the dust at his feet.
