Alex waited tables at the tavern that was the Rogue's Court. She liked being at the Court and it kind of helped that her father was the Rogue.
Her brother Sean wanted to be a Dog. That's all he ever wanted to do, but that wasn't really for Alex. She was more interested in the life of the Court. These were the people who understood her.
Her Ma didn't like that she worked at the Court. The only reason she let her was because Da was there. Alex did fine at the Court though. All the boys knew better than to mess with her. Her Ma and Da had taught her their secrets.
Besides, all of them knew they would disappear if they so much as lay a finger on her. Rosto was protective of his youngest daughter. There was one boy though. He didn't seem to be intimidated by all of that. His name was Brett.
This is Alex's story; her story about love, betrayal, and most of all about finding where she belongs.
Authors Note: I finally started the next set of stories. I'm planning on doing a story for each of the three children, and then I'll see what comes to me :-) Thanks for everyone who reviewed my first story Continuing On. You all are amazing. The first person to review (with more than 2 words) will have a say in the plotline of the story when they choose to use it. Kind of like a wild card, if they want someone to fall in love it'll happen, if they want someone to live or die (within reason) I'll make it happen. Think about it people :-)
