Pickles slammed down yet another shot of hard liquor. When Pickles drank liquor instead of his usual "fruity drinks"- as the band had deemed them- he was most definitely in a bad mood. And everyone knows to stay away from an angry drunk.
It was after a show and they were having the usual band after party in their greenroom, complete with paint and naked ladies. Toki saw Murderface and Nathan, both shirtless as a rule, out of the corner of his eye. Skwisgaar was nowhere in sight. Obviously the strange behavior of the drummer could be explained by that. Toki smirked a bit but immediately chased that unexpected reaction with the rest of his Zazz beer.
He didn't really know what he was feeling, though most people would classify it as jealousy. He just knew that he hated the way Pickles always hung around Skwisgaar. He supposed they discussed music because the two always seemed to be miraculously inspired after their little meetings. I mean, Toki was just as good of a guitarist as Skwisgaar, why shouldn't he be with Pickles all the time?
At one point Pickles and Skwisgaar started spending more and more time outside of the studio together, going to clubs, bars, or just sitting on the couch and chilling together. Toki had spent his time sleeping in till 4 in the afternoon, choosing to forgo his usual routine of waking up at 8:30 to do crunches and watch early morning cartoons.
But apparently Pickles forgot that Skwisgaar is a fickle friend, person, in general. He had taken to going out without taking the drummer with him. This had made the drummer fall into random fits of moodiness something that, in his "jealousy", Toki noticed. It didn't once enter into his mind that maybe this was more than envy over their friendship. He hoped whatever Skwisgaar was doing he was behaving. Toki glanced at Pickles again. Unsurprisingly he was still downing shots with a grimace and a vacant look in his eyes. He was the last good thing about this part of town.
