6 Years Later

It was the same everyday, since the end of the furi kuri days. Medical Mechanica still stood there today. Well not actually stood up right and strong like before. But more slouched like a kid at the table whining about his spicy curry. The building more faded then the rich yellow as it was, and rusted a bit over the years. Moss grow up the side like an ancient ruin, and a reminder to the people then. The young kids roam around it like a play ground. They had no clue about the end of this town, and possibly the planet. Every once in awhile I could still see the smoke bellowing out of the place, giving me back my stolen memories that it held like a cage. Though no one around could see the smoke coming out. The only person I can trust now is myself. Though, that was when I left maseaba for Tokyo University.

The red light kept blinking, over and over in my head for the past few days. My doctor said it was just a headache In the middle of a night. Sort of a nightmare that affected you physically, though there was something deeper then that.

Doctor: "The night aches still happening to you?"

Naota: "Yea, just like when I was little…"

Doctor: "When you were little? So this happened before. You never mentioned that"

The doctor's pen clicked, and gently spun it only to click it against the table once more.

Naota: "when I was 12…but it was different"

Naota's mind went through the past like a slide show. They were nothing more then images, and became less…real. The vespa, the guitar, the robots….and then…there was….her.

Doctor: "heres your prescription. Sleep aids…"

The slide show turned off as he looked at the slip.

Naota: "sleep aids…"

The words would slip from his tongue and off onto the table like drool.

Doctor: "Take with milk before you go to bed, and only one pill"

The instructions slipped through his head, as his hand lifted up to the paper slip. Noata gave the doctor a small nod as he lifted up his small bag. The casual wear he had on, the baggy pants and shirt saying FLCL a private meaning that only he would know of.
