A/N: Random drabble type things. I got bored and this is the result. Some are shonen-ai, some implied, other's not so much. Love it or hate it, leave a comment on how it can be improved and I'll love you forever.

One. EVDIENCE --

He'd always made sure there was no evidence tying him to the deaths. In the beginning, it was so he wouldn't get caught, but at some point, he started to try even harder. He wouldn't admit it, but he knew it was just so the insomniac detective would keep him close while he searched.

Two. I'M HERE--

After every narrow escape, Raito would always turn to gauge L's reaction. The spindly man would always be watching him with that blank stare, and it would put Raito on edge so much that he'd have to turn away. He could almost hear L in his mind, whispering a double-edged promise. "I'm here. I'll always be here, waiting for you to slip up."

Three. FUNERAL--

L had never been to a funeral, and he'd been secretly wishing Misa Amane's would be his first. When he had these thoughts, he'd promptly go get something sweet to eat, as though it would compensate for his number one suspect being off God-knows-where with the annoying blond.

Four. PUPPY LOVE--

When he'd seen the puppy in the pet shop window, for some reason he just had to have it. It wasn't until Matsuda said that the black rings around it's eyes reminded him of someone did this reason become clear.

Five. GLOVES--

Upon opening the parcel from his parents on Christmas morning and seeing what was inside, he quickly thrust it into L's hands. Raito had no need for a pair of gloves with little strawberries stitched onto them. And it was probably more appropriate than the gift he'd thought of for the detective anyway.

Six. BLACKBOARD--

The day L's computers decided not to work was a dark day indeed. But even a system crash wouldn't stop L talking about the Kira case. In the end, Raito got so annoyed with his constant yammering that he decided to introduce L to one of man's great triumphs. Needless to say, the coloured chalk amused L to no end.

Seven. MUSE--

Whenever L ran out of leads, he'd turn to check on Raito. He never showed it, but it shook him to the core when just looking at the other man set his investigation in a more fruitiful direction. Raito was the last person he wanted as a muse, especially in this case.

Eight. SUGARFREE--

Getting sweets always made L happy, especially when they were from Raito. So when they got in an argument and Raito let slip that the sweets were sugarfree, L immediately shouted that the chance of him being Kira just went up 25. Of course, later on he'd silently thank the supposed killer, because Raito had only been looking out for his health.

Nine. CLEAN--

L had been immediately suspicious the first time he saw Raito's room. Anyone who kept their room this clean and orderly had the discipline and drive it would take to kill criminals without battering an eye, in the hope of creating a "perfect world". So the first thing he did was "accidentily" knock the pencil jar to the floor. He'd be damned if he let his Raito be that clean.

Ten. SECRET--

Being Kira was never really a secret he kept from L. No, the secret he kept from L was far more personal. And all he wanted was to let the detective in on it. Too scared to admit it to his face, Raito settled for whispering soft "I love you"s in his ear on the rare occasion that the detective slept. L would always comment the next day that he'd had a very interesting dream.
