Prompt #109 (Item) Cardigan
Betty felt her thoart go dry at the sight of Veronica walking into the classroom wearing her cardigan. She shook her head as her eyes lowered to her text book. Her fingers holding the open book tightly. She felt the pages eat into her skin. She felt heat work itself all over her body. Her eyes squeezed shut as the image of Veronica in just her cardigan hit her. Having her eyes shut at the moment was a major mistake.
"Hey B." Veroncia sat in the chair next to the blonde. A soft smirk played on her lips. Hope rose high in her body as she prayed that Betty finally was ready to return her feelings. But she knew just by the tightness of the blonde's body that Betty still wasn't ready even to entertain the thought.
Betty opened her eyes and turned and smiled at her friend. "Hey."
"Hope you don't mind? This morning when I realized that I forgot to do my sweater laundry …. I saw that you had left this behind." Veronica shurgged her shoulders.
"No I don't mind." Betty easily said as she put her desire for this girl sitting next to her way down … and realized that this was just what friends did with other friends. They shared cloths. She was just happy that she honesty had a friend outside of Polly whom wanted to wear her clothes.
"Good." Veronica grined. "I'm honesty happy that you left it behind." She stood to her feet. "It goes perfect with this dress don't you think?"
Betty smiled wide. She fought to breath as Veronica turned around to show off her cardigan covering the brunnette's dress. All her fingers wanted to do was to remove all articles of clothing from that body,
A chair squeaked.
Betty blinked as she realized where she was. Her eyes quickly shot down to her desk as her face felt firey hot.
Veronica sat down in her seat once more. She reached over to place her hand on Betty's tight shoulder. She felt the shoulder tighten. She sighed as she refused to let go. She knew that if she removed her hand; then it would make the situation much worse for her beatiful blonde best friend. "How about Pops after school huh B?"
Betty's nose winkled. "Can't. Jughead and I need to work at the Blue and Gold today."
"Okay." Veronica sighed. "But we can go after your Blue and Gold work is done."
Betty turned her head to meet her friend's chocolate eyes. "It's going to be late; Ronnie." She sighed as she moved a little sideways causing Veronica's hand to leave her shoulder. She felt the loss. "Sorry but we have a deadline; that we simply can not miss." She sighed. "Not if we want to keep the Blue and Gold up and running."
Veronica nodded. She didn't try to move closer to the blonde. "No problem. I'll see if Kevin wants to join me." She sighed as she reached into her bag and pulled out her needed notebook and textbook.
Betty turned her face to look Veronica in the eyes. "I lied." She swallowed. "That's not what a true friend does to another." She sighed. "If you still want to go to Pops after school with me; then I would love to go."
A warm smile lit Veronica's lips going straight to her eyes. "I would love to Betty. Going to Pops with you is always one of my favorite past times."
The bell rang.
