Dear diary,
I can't believe that it's a new year!So much has happened. I found you, Charmz performed at the fall formal, and I had a secret admirer. Okay, now I have good news and bad news.

The good news:I've learned that all the things that I was soworried about; what others thought of me, being popular, what the popular people say, or do. None of it matters. I can do anything andbe anything I wanna be. And no one, not even Raquelle and her clique can stop me. Nothing can stop me from chasing my dreams.

Now, for the bad news; Tia moved away to New York. Our keyboard player and our class president no longer with us. Courtney had just said goodbye to her yesterday before she left. How are going to be the "Charmz" without her?!

Barbie heard a noise as she closed her diary and locked it with her bracelet. She got up from the cushion and walked toward the garage door to peak through the window. She saw a magenta convertible pulling up. She immediately recognized the driver
withher hair in pigtails. Barbie grabbed the handles at the bottom of the garage door to open it. As she opened the door her best friend, Courtney, was coming out the car.
"Hey, Court," Barbie called out.
"Hey," Courtney mumbled.
The girls were usually chipper when they meet at Barbie's Garage. Whether it was to rehearse or just hang out,it was the one place where they could chill. But today, they were both in a gloomy mood. And they both knew why. Tia moving away has left
a gap between them.
