It was almost painful; this feeling of complete emptiness. The white was glaringly bright and extremely eager to remind him that he was alone (truly alone now, as the ever-present hum of his real self was gone from his senses).

And then the floor was crumbling, coming apart like a failed attempt at bread, and he was falling, falling.

It felt like forever and the expanse of whiteness that gave him a sense of purity that he didn't feel he had the right to. He couldn't even scream, or think for that matter, the only thing that registered in his mind was the feel of weightlessness and false peace.

Then there was Asch, and Asch was everything. He was the only thing left and the only thing that ever was. They were coming together, molding, and Luke couldn't have regretted anything more (why did they both have to be so damn stubborn?).

He was Asch and Asch was him, more literal than either of them had ever wished to be. They were taking too long, he finally realized, the others would be waiting.

He (Asch, they) moved, deciding that they'd spent too long wallowing in grief and ifs and would-have-beens.

Tear looked up as he walked towards her, all hope and happiness and love. He wondered if she would forgive him for being unable to love only her (because now there was Asch and Natalia, and memories.)
