The Gundam boys were gathered in a huddle in the backyard of one of Quatre's many safe houses. There was a long table set up in the middle of the yard and it appeared like a mini race track, complete with miniature flags.
Quatre was running around, fussing over the smallest detail, "Duo, this idea of yours was brilliant. Hamster racing! Aww… look at the cute little guys…" Quatre crooned, fawning over his small furry creature. He scooped it up and cuddled it tenderly, "I don't care if you win, I just want you to do your best, yes, dat's right, dat's right," Quatre babbled to the hamster.
"If he loses, you lose money," Duo reminded him, "Remember, we bet on these,"
"I don't care," Quatre shrugged, "I'm ridiculously rich, it doesn't matter to me." Duo rolled his eyes and turned to his gerbil. The other guys had finally agreed to let him race Happy instead of a real hamster after getting sick of Duo's whining.
Wufei was at the finish line, tinkering with the small ribbon the animals would break through.
"As soon as they cross… boom!" Wufei laughed maniacally, "No more stupid hamsters!" he put the finishing touches on the small explosive attached to the bottom of the table.
Heero was sitting under the shade of a tree, muttering almost silently to his hamster. He opened a jar next to him and handed his hamster a pill.
"Here," Heero monotoned, "Steroids for the winning hamster," the creature gobbled the pill up greedily. Heero reached into his pocket and pulled out a tiny gun and handed it to the hamster, "Remember, you must eliminate all obstacles." The hamster looked curiously at the gun, and then picked it up in its mouth and ran to its plastic racing ball.
Trowa was simply standing by the starting line, silently stroking his hamster, its fur being brushed forward.
"Uh, Trowa?" Duo inquired, tapping bang-boy on the shoulder, "Your little buddy's hair is kind of sticking straight out like mutant bangs, you might want to stop petting it." Trowa turned to look calmly at Duo.
"I think he looks good," he replied quietly, "Besides, he's more aerodynamic this way."
"Yeah…" Duo looked strangely at Trowa, and then cupped his hands around his mouth, "It's time for the races to begin!!" he bellowed. The other guys came around and put their hamsters and their plastic balls at the starting line. "On your mark," Duo said, putting his hand on the release latch, "Get set… Go!"
"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" All eyes snapped away from the race to see Relena flying toward them, "What are you doing?"
"Racing," Heero replied flatly, "Go home."
"But I don't wanna…." Relena whined, "You haven't killed me yet…" Heero pulled out his gun and pointed it at Relena's head.
There was a loud explosion noise and everyone flinched and prepared to cheer, except for the fact that Relena still stood in-tact.
"YES!" Wufei laughed evilly, "It is done! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!" Duo turned to the race track to see that half the table was on fire, and the animals were nowhere to be seen.
"HAPPY!!!!!!" Duo sobbed. "You killed Happy!" He began to throttle Wufei, who was now choking instead of laughing. Quatre was reduced to his maniacal laugh, and Trowa and Heero simply went to search for survivors. Relena, thinking she had been shot, began to scream.
"You can't shoot me! I'm the Queen of the World! I'll send Pagan after you! How dare you! This wasn't supposed to end like this! You were supposed to love me! Love me Heero! Why won't you love me!?"
"Why won't you die?" Heero called dryly. Relena screeched indignantly, and then everything went black as she fell to the ground.
