Mother's Sacrifice

Blood to blood, the spell is spun

To shield him when my days are done.

James promises we'll not be reached,

But if the Fidelius is breached,

I know that we will not survive,

So build protections when alive.

Blood to blood, to pave his way;

My life's the price I'll have to pay.

My son will live because I'll die:

The Killing Curse will he deny,

And give himself the needed time

To reach, in all respects, his prime.

Blood to blood, the monster's here;

I meet his eyes, and do not fear.

I'll watch my boy from high above,

He'll triumph through his mother's love:

And by the Prophecy, he'll fight

The Darkness, and he'll save the Light.

Blood to blood, of me he asks

I permit him complete his task.

I stand before my baby boy,

My little one, my pride and joy.

This murderer I do defy,

Maternal fury in my cry.

Blood to blood, so ends my tale.

My son survives, and will not fail.

Within him, the charm I cast

Will persevere until the last,

For powerful is the gift I gave:

Death out of love, his life to save.
