Dear Diary

August 28

Dear Diary,
Today was my first day of high school. I made a lot of really good friends today! There's Alfred, and Arthur, and Francis, and Ivan, and Yao, and Matthew, and Feliciano, and Ludwig, and Kiku, and Lovino, and Antonio, and Gilbert; there's just too many to name! They're all really nice and funny, and I love them all soooo much! Tomorrow, I'm going to this really cool café downtown. Arthur said they have really good tea, so I'm excited to try some! Alfred also invited me over to his and Matthew's house to play some video games! I've got to go!

September 1

Dear Diary,
These past few days have been amazing! Alfred hosted a huge party in my honor to celebrate me moving to this town. A few of them got really drunk, even though we're not supposed to have alcohol, and a bunch of the guys kissed! I think I saw Kiku with a camera… Anyways, things have been going great! I hope I can make even more great friends like these guys all are!

October 16

Dear Diary,
I feel so awful for not writing in you for forever! I've just been too busy hanging out with my friends! Feliciano has been helping me with my Halloween costume. I'm going as a beautiful princess! I wonder who my prince will be? Any one of the awesome guys I know would be like a dream come true!

November 30

Dear Diary,
I can't believe all the good grades I'm getting! It's probably because of Arthur's tutoring. And I'm getting thinner from the training I'm going with Ludwig and Gilbert! I feel so popular and perfect; I love my life!

December 25

Dear Diary,
My friends and I are going to look at Christmas lights. I probably won't write for a while.

You stood atop a high skyscraper with your friends, looking out at the city lit up in reds and greens. It was a beautiful night, with snow gently falling and only a slight chill blowing through the air.

"Isn't this just wonderful?" you said with a grin.

Your friends were silent.

"Oh, you're being quiet tonight? Come on, I know you guys can talk!"

Nothing.

"Guys? Are you even listening to me?" you asked, growing frantic. "Guys?!"

Tears started to fall from your face. Your only friends had stopped talking to you. They hated you.

"Look at that freak!"

"She's so ugly!"

"Why don't you just go and die already?"

You looked down at the city beneath you, and then down at the small book clutched tightly in your hands. Hetalia: Axis Powers Book 1

They were never really there in the first place. Nobody cared about you. Even your imagination had given up on you.

"Maybe I'll find a friend soon," you sighed, looking down at the city again. The Christmas season; a time full of love, happiness, and family.

A time of loneliness.

Dear Diary,
Goodbye

And you jumped.
