Marcie and Peppermint Patty were reclining under a tree, a warm summer breeze in the air, the birds singing (especially Woodstock).

Peppermint Patty had a thought. She'd had it before, but hadn't said anything. Now she said "Say, Marcie?"

"Yes, Sir?"

Patty frowned. "Stop calling me Sir. Uh, you know how you wear those big glasses, and you can't really see your eyes? Well, could I… I dunno, just feeling kinda curious, could I see what your eyes look like behind them? It's just bugging me, you know?"

Marcie nodded. "Allright, Sir."

Peppermint Patty slowly moved over and reached for Marcie's glasses. Marcie moved her head closer to accommodate. Patty took hold of the glasses. With the glasses, Marcie's eyes looked like nothing but two round, white blank spots. Patty removed the glasses.

She gasped. Marcie's eyes, without her glasses…

…looked like two round, white blank spots.

"Something wrong, Sir?" Marcie asked. Patty shook her head and put the glasses back. "N-no."

They both leaned back, like they were before, Peppermint Patty looking quite shaken.

I didn't see it, I didn't see it, I didn't see it
