I don't think that tattered red cloak has ever looked this good to me. He stares out into the night, and I watch the moonlight in his eyes.
He'll never love again, he swears, as he acts like I'm not even here. But I know that he cares deep down. And I don't think that it'll cross his mind as I tell a joke, and he fakes a smile, that I know everything went wrong.
But I could tell you- his favorite color's red. He loves the silence, where nothing is ever said. He's always brooding. He has a demon's eyes. And if you ask me if I love him, I'd lie.
He stares across the room, aware of everything but the truth. Shouldn't he know by now? Doesn't he know that I've loved him all these years, all along? He's just quiet, hardly ever talks. Almost never lets the others see him smile, and I don't let the others see me wishing he was mine.

He stands up and walks away. My god, if I could only say: "I'm holding myself just for you." He'd never tell you, but he likes poetry. I think he could win his way straight to my heart. First thought when I see him is "be still, my beating heart" but I put on my best smile and pray I can make him mine.
