I stretched out on my bed, feeling more tired then ever. Just another day trying to fill in my fathers footsteps. I walked out to the smell of bacon. "Dad? Your cooking?" I asked. "Yes, Penny, I am. It will be about 10 minutes. Go wake up your mother!" My father asked. I ran to my parents room and saw my mom fast asleep. I gently reached up and shook her. "Mom, Dad says to wake up! He's making food!" I told my mom. "Well let's see how this will turn out!" She said. She got out of bed in her pajamas and we walked out to the livingroom. "Morning Billy!" She said. "Morning Robin" My father said. "Penny, come get your breakfast!" He said and then I ran to get my food. My father, if you haven't guessed already, is known as Dr. Horrible. He wants me to fill in his footsteps. Be an evil brilliant scientist. It's hard when your father is the greatest man known on Earth. I watched as my parents discussed death rays and freeze rays. Something about the past or something. "Penny?" My father asked. "Yes dad?" I responded, eating a piece of bacon. "Well Penny, your 16 now and I just wanted you to see something. Later, I'm going to take you out to see something!" I nodded and kept eating. I wonder what he meant by showing me something important. I quickly got dressed and ready for what could possibly be coming my way. "Penny! We're gonna leave in 5 minutes! Get ready!" My father yelled. I quickly slipped on my flats and ran to the car. I put on the radio and waited for my father. When he got in the car, we drove off to god knows where. "Father, where are we going?" I asked him with much curiosity. "Well I'm taking you back to my old town" I just nodded. We were in the car for two hours when we finally stopped at a small Laundromat. I got inside and I felt happy. "Laundry day, see you there, under things, tumbling. Wanna say, love your hair, here I go, mumbling. With my freeze ray I will stop, the world. With my freeze ray I will find the time to find the words to-" I was distracted by something on the wall.

"LOCAL VILLIAN DEFEATS CAPTAIN HAMMER AND KILLS RANDOM GIRL" it said.

I was shocked when I saw a picture of my father. I knew he was Dr. Horrible but I never knew he killed a girl. I heard the bell ring that meant the door had been opened and saw my dad. "Father, you never told me you killed someone? And who is Captain Hammer?" I asked. "It's time I told you" He took my hand and led me to an apartment building. "This is where I used to live! Still own it too! But here's the fun part!" He said and then showed me a room. It was full of many different contraptions. One caught my eye. "Death ray" I mumbled and walked to it. I saw the broken pieces and wondered what had happened. I looked and saw a huge chair and sat down. I looked at the little table. There was a photo of a woman. It looked like a stalker photo to me. I saw a girl. "Dad who is this girl?" I asked him. "That, my dear, is Penny. The girl I fell in love with. She dated the hero and my nemisise, Captain Hammer. When I tried to defeat Captain Hammer with my death ray, everything backfired and it caused her to be stabbed with pieces of the gun. She died that day because of my stupidness. But that lead me to become the best. I still miss here" He said and he stared longingly at the picture. "Hey dad! I have an idea! You know how you've always wanted me to follow in your footsteps right?" He nodded, clueless. " How about I live here and I can work on repairing the death ray and inventing my own!" He looked pleased. "Penny, I'm so proud of you!" Little did he know about my little plan to bring back Penny and hunt down this Captain Hammer guy.
