The Great Blade (beginning)

The Great Blade

On the cold day of December, the man came the house. Alarms were sounding, and footsteps were closing in. Torches were right behind him. He went into the house. Inside. There was no one but a baby with a note saying " Take this baby and run". He hesitated at first but he was a good man. He took the baby and ran to the trap door. At the outskirts of the village, he saw his house burn.
