Woooooooow…

I haven't written a fic in a while sorry, Ive been kinda busy.

Ive had this idea stuck in my head for a while, but I have no clue how to write it. Ill try to do my best with this… I wrote this as a tribute (I guess) to the legalization of gay marriage in the U.S.

ANYWAys. Let's get on with this.

I don't own -Man. Or 1000 Years. Im very sad that I don't.

Allen stared at the glistening piano keys below his fingers. Turning slightly to look at his bandmates, he saw Lenalee checking her bass and Lavi re-adjusting his drum-set.

Last song… He thought.

This concert in particular had quite a turnout. It probably had something to do with Kanda, their lead singer/Allen's beloved boyfriend, announcing to the press that he had a special message to relay at the end of the concert. Allen didn't even know the lyrics to this last piece, but Kanda seemed less stoic than usual when he gave out the sheet music. Kanda had asked Allen for a melody a months prior to the concert, and Allen had happily obliged. Kanda signaled that he was ready to go, and then picked up his microphone.

"Thanks for coming out tonight, this last piece is for someone special in my life."

Odd… Allen thought. Kanda doesn't usually write songs for people. Its probably for Daisya.

Daisya Barry, Kansas adopted brother, had been diagnosed with leukemia one year ago. Kanda may make it seem like he hates his family, but he was just as worried for Daisya as the rest of his family.

With a nod from Kanda, Allen started the song off with a short piano rift.

(A/N: GO TO A SONG PLAYING DEVICE AND PLAY 1000 Years by Christina Perry. I'm not going to put the lyrics in here, but I promise this song fits perfectly.)

Allen finished off the song with the same rift that he used to start it, and was met with a loud blaring from the crowd. Kanda put his hand up as a signal for quiet, and then spoke into his microphone.

"Allen…" He said quietly, "Could you come up here for just a second?"

Allen froze, but quickly abandoned his piano bench to stand next to Kandas side.

Kanda turned towards him, then took to his knees. Grabbing Allen's hand with his own, he brought down his mic to his mouth.

"Allen, where do I start with you. We've known each other since high school. You've been with me through thick and thin. When you agreed to go out with me back in college, I was so excited. And here we are, 6 years and a few degrees later, on a stage performing what has been our dream since high school. I love you so much, and I don't know where I would be without you."

Allen had teared up at this point. It wasn't unusual for Kanda to declare his love for Allen at the end of a concert, but this seemed somehow more special than all the other times.

Reaching into his pocket, Kanda pulled out a small black box. He held it up to Allen, saying:

"There is no other person in the world that I would want to spend the rest of my life with."

He opened the box to reveal a sparkling silver ring with the japanese characters for Mugendai engraved in the center.

"I want to be with you for infinity."

The crowd at this point was screaming. Lavi and Lenalee were crying, while Allen was holding back tears.

"Allen, will you marry me?"

After what had seemed like hours of complete silence, Allen finally let out a sob and whispered:

"Yes of course, BaKanda."

The crowd was sent into screams and cheers. Lavi sniffled a 'good job yuu-chan!" and Lenalee let out a squeal.

You will be mine, for infinity.

Im glad I got that out of my system.

Mugendai means infinity in japanese, and I thought it seemed fitting.

PLEASE listen to 1000 Years. It works so well for this fic, and I hope you enjoy this song.

Thanks for reading!
