Bella and Edward are in high school, Bella finds out she is pregnant and Edward moves to Alaska. He moves back after Bella has the baby and is a big jerk to her. He has a new girlfriend and she doesn't want him seeing his baby. Bella first sees Edward while she is at the mall with Emmett. I think Edward goes to Bella's school with roses and tells everyone he is the baby's father.
