After several years of moving around the country, the Heartafilia family has decided to finally settle down. Upon hear the news, the youngest daughter, Lucy, had instantly began to unpack those last few boxes. The ones that rarely ever got unpacked because of how often they moved.
Her father entered the room, his work suit on and his hair jelled back. His cologne was so strong that Lucy wanted to pull away and leave the room but instead she listened.
"Lucy, my dear, there is only one condition to staying here, and that's that you attend the private highschool of Fairytail.
"Hit me harder, you pathetic child!" Silver Fullbuster yelled at his son. They had been training for hours in the hot summer sun, something that they had always done. Something that Gray had always hated.
Gray had always hated his father. Ever since his mother left and his father had trained him in the most difficult of martial arts. Everyday Gray's life was put in danger and he was treated like a test rather than a teenager.
"I've enrolled you into a new school. Hopefully this one will teach you some manners."
"Yeah, sure. What school is it?" Gray rolled his eyes. He just wanted to drop out and move on.
"Fairytail."
"Ah! Shit!" Natsu screamed. The rod with molten glass on the end fell to the ground. He clutched his hand as he ran to the sink in the corner, forcing his hand under the water.
His adoptive father, Igneel, came running behind him. "Are you okay, child?" He gingerly grabbed the boy's hand and began to rub burn cream into the skin. Natsu winced at the pain. The two had been running a glass studio for years now, Natsu being creditably trained in the field.
"I have enrolled you into a different school this year. I hope it will better train you for the future. It is called Fairytail. A wizarding school!"
"Your name, miss?" The receptionist asked. The redhead put her ID on the counter along with all the paperwork from the past few days. The woman looked surprised when she read the name but didn't say anything.
"I'm here to be a student." The receptionist smiled politely and went over the paperwork. Not a moment later, she looked up and smiled.
"Welcome to Fairytail, Miss Erza Scarlet!"
