Regina Mills, born in the City of New York, She's 32, has brown shoulder length hair with beautiful brown eyes. She's petite and dresses smartly in dresses or a suit combination

Her mother and Father own a handful of successful Cafes within the state and she has been running one of them for a year. She also has a partner of nine months, who she isn't in love with but she thinks she can learn to love him. As all she wants is true happiness, so she persists, thinking one day it will just click into place, but things are about to change.

"What do you mean you want me to go to Boston?" Regina said to her mother whilst standing in her mother's house, which was a grand house with expensive items and spotless interior.

"We are branching out dear"

"What?"

"An opportunity has come up in a prime location in Boston. You know I have wanted to branch out into other places"

"Yes, you want world domination" Regina sarked.

"Don't be so ridiculous"

"Why me?" she crossed her arms.

"You know the business and I want you to run this one in Boston, I will give you full control"

Regina quirked an eyebrow.

"Full control?" she asked.

"Yes, I will not interfere you run it as you see fit"

"Are you serious?"

"Yes dear"

"That's great but I can't leave New York mother, my family is here, my life is here"

"We will still see you and I know you have wanted a challenge, your own baby so to break and I thought this might be what you need"

Regina pondered for a moment.

"What about Robin?"

"Talk to him"

Regina pouted and turned away.

"I better be getting home"

"Fine. I will phone you tomorrow"

"Okay, bye mother"

Regina arrived home twenty minutes later and sighed. Robin was sat on the sofa watching the TV and she looked over and said "You seen your mother?"

"Yes"

"She seemed eager to tell you something when she phoned here earlier"

Regina ran a hand through her hair.

"She wants me to run a new Cafe for her, I would have full control"

"That's great"

"It's in Boston"

Robin stood up.

"Boston?" he repeated and walked over to her.

"Yes. Boston."

"Do you want to go?" he asked leaning on the kitchen island.

"I don't know"

"Okay" he looked down and frowned.

"Anyway I think I'm going to get an early night" Regina then said and walked to the bedroom.

"Okay Ill be in, a bit later" he replied and walked back to the sofa.

A month later.

"You sure about this?" Regina asked Robin as she stood at her car with it jammed pack with boxes.

"Yeah, You go get settled and I will come join you in a few months time"

"You know you could get another job just as easily in Boston?" Regina said.

"I know, but there's currently a lot on at the mo at the firm and I got cases, I need to tie up"

Regina nodded in understanding and was slightly relived, as she had felt her and Robin were drifting apart but she kept telling herself to fight to make things work with him and she would be happy in the end.

"I will see you next weekend then" Regina said.

"Of course"

She sighed.

"I better go" she gave him a chaste kiss that felt empty and she got in the car. Leaving her life in new york and heading to a new one Boston.

And after many hours of driving with rest stops along the way. She pulled up to her apartment, that she was going to rent until something nicer and more suitable came up and she quirked an eyebrow.

This place looked better in the pictures, she thought to herself and then proceeded to get out. Looking up at the tall row of buildings, She sighed and then saw that the buildings went all the way down the street and the long line of cars that parked outside them.

"Great" she said sarcastically and headed inside, to door 108 which was on the first floor.

She then put the key in the lock and opened the door to find, magnolia walls and the owners furniture scattered around.

"This is defiantly temporary" she said to herself and shook her head at the hideous orange sofa.

She then walked to the kitchen and checked the appliances, before heading to look around the rest of the apartment.

A long moment later, she headed back to her car to retrieve her belongings. And it wasn't until she went to fetch her six box, that she paused and starred at a beautiful blonde woman. In her late twenties, walking towards her. She was wearing a red leather jacket and skinny jeans with boots and was talking with a small boy.

She didn't know why she starred for so long, just that she had never seen such a beautiful woman before.

When see broke out of her musings seconds later, she thought what am I doing! before feeling a sudden overwhelming feeling, within her stomach and she rushed inside placing the box down and heading back out for another.

It was then, she came face to face with the woman and the boy on the stairs. She paused and just starred once more.

The boy laughed.

"Is she okay ma?" he asked his mother.

"I don't know Henry. I will ask"

"Hey, um you okay?" The woman asked Regina.

"Yes. Thank-you. Do you live here?"

"Yeah, second floor" she replied casually and found herself looking deep into brown eyes, as if she saw something there.

"Oh. I have just moved into 108"

"Cool, a new neighbor" Henry said happily and Emma asked "Do you need some help with bringing your stuff in?"

"Oh that's okay ,I do not want to interrupt your evening" she smiled.

Henry then chuckled and Regina tilted her head at him.

"Sorry about him. He just has never met someone who is...Refined" she smiled brightly and Regina all but melted.

"Is that so" she found herself saying, with a smirk.

"Yeah, we don't have many friends" Henry said and frowned.

"Nor do i" Regina replied softly.

Emma meanwhile, tilted her head and ran her gaze over the woman's attire. She was very attractive the blonde thought, but why would a woman like her move into a place like this, she wondered.

"Anyway I better go and get the last of my boxes" Regina said with a smile and began to walk away.

"Hey wait" Emma said, making Regina pause.

"My names Emma and this is my son Henry and if you want to borrow a cup of sugar, or anything feel free to knock on our door"

Regina gaped momentarily, surprised at the woman's kindness towards her.

"Thank you Emma and My name is Regina Mills" she smiled widely and Emma found herself drawn to the incredible smile the brunette was giving her.

"Are you sure you don't keep any help with your boxes?" Emma found herself saying, before even thinking.

"I am positive, you go and enjoy your evening dear" she then walked down the stairs. While Emma just watched her go and Henry had to pull on her arm.

"Mom, are we going inside or what" he moaned.

"Yeah, sure kid" she turned and they went up the next flight of stairs and into their apartment. Where Henry went straight to his room and Emma went straight to the window, to see if she could see the brunette woman.

"Damn it" she muttered to herself, as she saw the woman pulling her final box out and a man Emma knew, approached her and was starting to talk to her.

"Henry I am just popping downstairs IL be right back" she shouted, as she headed to the door.

"Okay" Henry shouted back.

And as Emma run down the stairs, she cursed and wondered why she was even bothered about the woman, she had just met.

But before she could think about it any further, she was at Regina's car in front of the building.

"Killian" Emma said slightly out of breath.

He turned and smirked at her.

"Emma, love. if you want a workout I would always be willing" she wiggled his eyebrows at her.

"Don't even go there..." she looked to Regina, who looked anxious and was wondering why Emma was there.

"Just leave her alone okay?" Emma said seriously.

"I wasn't doing anything" he protested.

"Sure you were" she sighed and looked to Regina. "Did he offer to help you up to your apartment?"

"Yes"

Emma rolled her eyes.

"Just go Killian" Emma told him and he held his hands up and walked away with a smirk.

"He really annoys me" Emma bitterly said, as he left and Regina tilted her head and looked confused.

"Am I missing something here?" she asked.

"Oh, um, sorry Regina I just saw him talking to you and thought id come and stop him trying it on. I think he might even be capable of...never mind"

Regina's eyes widened.

"Do you know him well?" she asked.

"No, not really" she crossed her arms "He, um, hangs around this street a lot and has tried it on with me a lot. His sleazy and kinda creepy. I don't want you to get hurt or anything" she bit her lip, whilst looking at Regina's box that was in the brunettes hands.

Regina's heart swelled.

"That is very nice of you, considering we have only just met" she smiled.

"Just looking out for my neighbors" Emma replied with a goofy smile and they began to walk inside.

"So, where have you moved from? if you don't mind me asking" Emma asked, as they approached the stairs.

"New York" Regina replied softly, as she carried the box.

"Wow, New York. I have never been there"

"You should visit sometime" Regina replied.

Emma nodded and walked behind Regina up the stairs.

"Um Regina, can I ask you a question?"

"Of course dear"

"Um, why would a woman like you move from New York, to come and live in this dump"

Regina laughed and Emma's heart skipped a beat.

"Well that is a very good question Emma" she paused at her door. "I have moved here, to open and run a cafe and I shall only be living in this building temporary, until I find a more suitable place"

"Oh" Emma replied and her mouth curled downwards, at the last part.

"How about you, why are you living in this dump?" Regina asked with a smirk.

"It's all I can afford" Emma replied casually and looking to the floor sadly.

Regina now felt slightly bad.

"I am sure things will get better for you Emma and you have a son and I presume husband?" she opened her door.

Emma shook her head.

"No husband, no boyfriend"

"Oh I am sorry for presuming such a thing"

"Don't worry about it"

"Would you like to come in for a moment?" Regina asked.

"Sure" Emma smiled. "Not for long though, Henry's alone up there"

"He seems like a good kid, how old is he?" Regina asked, putting her box down.

"Eleven"

"He would of just started high school then" she walked to the kitchen and Emma watched.

"Yeah, I just hope he makes some good friends you know"

"Why wouldn't he?"

"He's abit of a loner"

"Oh, I see" Regina frowned. "I would offer you a drink but I am yet to buy groceries"

"That's okay. Do you need to borrow anything?"

"That is okay, I shall go down to the local store in a while"

"Cool" Emma glanced around the room.

"Is that your sofa?" she asked with a grimace.

"No, the owners. This is a furnished letting"

"That sofa is very orange"

"I know, it is rather hideous. I think I shall have to buy a throw to put over it"

Emma chuckled.

"Good idea"

There was a pause.

"So, how long have you lived here?" Regina asked curiously.

"I've lived here for two years"

Regina nodded.

"Your get used to it after a couple of months" Emma added.

"Do you not have any family that can help out?" Regina asked.

"Um, just my parents they live on the other side of Boston, looking after my new brother" she sighed.

Regina pondered for a moment, it seemed Emma's parents were to busy with the new baby to be worried about Emma.

"What about you?" Emma deflected.

"What about me?"

"Do you have family here in Boston?"

"No, their back in New York running the other Cafes"

"Other Cafes? are you like a famous chef or something?" Emma said in surprise.

Regina chuckled.

"Not famous, just a chain of rather successful Cafes and my mother wants to branch out, that's why I am here" she smiled, whilst reaching into a box.

"Oh, Wow. That is impressive" she tucked her hands in her pockets and felt a little awkward.

"Thank you and what about you, do you work?"

"Um, yeah" she looked even more uncomfortable now and Regina noticed this.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to pry. It doesn't matter what is it" Regina said softly.

Emma brought her hand up and tucked some loose strands of her blonde her behind her ear and Regina found it adorably cute.

"You wouldn't approve" she muttered.

Regina frowned and then said "Tell me, I won't judge you"

"Okay...well...I kinda work three nights a week at a coyote bar"

"A coyote bar? what is that?"

Emma had to laugh, of course Regina wouldn't know what it is.

"Everyone in Boston knows what a coyote bar is" she found herself saying before adding "It's a bar, where women work and we kinda dance on the bar, serve drinks and get really good tips"

Regina starred at her wide eyed.

"I know, I know. It's not something I particularly want to do, but It's the only job that pays well enough, that I only have to work three nights a week and can spend the rest of the time with my son"

"I am not going to judge. You are doing what you think best . However you do not remove any of your clothes do you because..."

Emma chuckled.

"No, Thank god" she smirked "I just wear a crop top and either a tight pair of pants or a short pair of shorts.

Regina went slightly red and turned her head to hide her blush and the thoughts of the blonde in those items of clothing.

"It's not going to be forever" Emma added, not wanting Regina to think bad of her.

"Of course not dear" she replied.

"Anyway I better get back to Henry" Emma suddenly said.

"Okay, thank you again for warning be about Killian"

"No probs, I'll see you around" she smiled and walked out the door.

"Bye Emma" Regina said, before shaking her head in amusement and thought that woman is full of surprises.
