Disclaimer: I don't own the story Hansel and Gretel. This is just a fanfiction.

"Why would I ever go back"

Gretel was at window. A girl she was not a boy. No sign of Hansel. There was no answer to that. No response. What had happened yesterday was still fresh in her mind

"Thank you, you old witch"

Hansel now Gretel was not saying this angerily but instead with actual sincere gratitude. She was happy. The girl oinked and took another bite of gingerbread wall from the house. There she was .. a pretty piggirl sitting on the floor. This was her story

Yesterday there was a boy named Hansel who had been abandoned in the forest by his dad. In this tale he has no sister. This is a tale of Hansel becomeing a Gretel. A tale of a boy left because of parents that could not or would not feed him or provide for him a single day longer. In said aforementioned forest the birds had ate the breadcrumbs that would lead Hansel home. Day before yesterday stones were left to wander home left. Yesterday however bag of stones had been confiscated before same trick could be so used. Hansel was upset and sad and cold. Would God abandon this child? No way however

Yes a boy could become lost. And even if could go home he knew a beating would be his reward. Hansel found by God's good will a house of gingerbread and candy. Hansel ate of a window, licked it, enjoyed some picked jellybeans

"Oh yum"

His luck had sure changed. God was merciful

Unlike in the original tale the witch of this tale, this alternate universe, invited the boy in not to fatten him up for eating at a later time but because it was thing she wished to do. The reason why might become clear. Yes indeed yesterday was a good day. Day his whole life changed

"Go ahead sweetie, eat all you want"

She was not an ugly witch. She seemed grandmotherly and kind. Hansel loved eating sweets and pigging out. This witch, nonwicked but like all soceress believer in the grand design sweetly offered a magical cookie

"Eat this and you shall be entitled to stay here forever.. eating as much as you like for rest of your life"

Hansel ate the cookie, it's magic working its way into the bloodstream. Maybe all the food there was magical. Every spoonful of applesauce and every sip of grape juice, milk, water, gatorade, whatever. Every bite of steak or hamburger. Hansel not only changed into a girl but changed into a pigperson. Yes clothes always in closet clean every day. Yes she was still bipedal. A somehow fitting and cute girl even if pig anthro instead of a human being. The witch who never gave her name yesterday and gone today left in will the entire house to Gretel

"Mmmmm house repairs itself. Hooray!"

Gretel never regretted God's will nor saw herself as cursed at all

The parents never saw their child again so never got eaten out of house and home. Gretel, the pretty and plump and cute piggirl, lived rest of her days in a home she loved. She lived happily ever after. THE END
