Annabeth screamed desperately, pulling against my confinements, attempting to stop this, this abomination from happening. She slumped down, exhausted after she attempted for the 11th time to get out of her prison today. Although, she thought wryly, she was in effect her own gaoler.

She was trapped in her own mind thanks to a curse from Aphrodite, revenge for a particularly nasty insult she had uttered when she was 11 years old, before she had met Percy, that absolutely revolting Son of Poseidon. Aphrodite's curse had been to doom her to fall in love with the most unlikely person and she had been lucky enough to get this idiotic fish.

A moan from outside brought her out of her pondering on how unlucky she was bringing her back to the abomination. If she could have thrown up she would have. Her fake self was currently being seduced by Percy, moaning as Percy slipped off the last of her clothes. Annabeth tried to shut out this crime against nature and concentrated fiercely on an idea she had for a new building.

Several hours later the moaning had stopped and fake Annabeth, satisfied, had fell asleep. The real Annabeth settled down to let her mind drift, unable to sleep.

--------------------------------------------------Next Day on Olympus-------------------------------------------

Athena stormed out of the throne room, seething, rage boiling off her in an invisible cloud. She had just discovered that Annabeth, now 26, had been locked in her own mind for 15 years. Aphrodite had been foolish enough to taunt her with it in an argument.

Well, this was going to stop immediately and Athena went off to prepare a counter for Aphrodite's curse. Soon, her daughter would be free!
