So announcment; somewhere, sooner or a later, I'm gonna ask for some extra chapter but later.
ENJOY!
I don't own some of halo character except for my OC's. I plan on for this story to be an AU.
On the planet of High Charity, in the great council rooms of the three prophets. The those three individuals goes by their names, the Prophet of Truth (at least I think they go by their name sake.), the Prophet of Mercy, and the Prophet of Regret. These three beings are in charge of the mighty covenant empire.
The Covenant is a group of alien of different species, all band together for a (sick, sadistical) religious purpose. Or so they have been told by none other than the Prophets. They enforce this religion upon these creatures, telling them that they'll achieve god hood like a well-known species called the Forerunners.
Anyway, in the council room and in the midst of the Prophet, stood a alien being. It was a sangheili, one of the proud alien race (a bit too damn proud if you ask me!) that are basically use for soldiers for the Prophet's causes. And are usually in the favors of the Prophet. This sangheili was clad in armour and stood on bipedal legs which has hooves for feet. It has split-jaw mouth called mandibles (which makes it a miracle since it can TALK.). It's hands have two fingers and two thumbs on opposite side of it's hands.
The sangheili was not alone, a few feet behind was another sangheili. But this was different, it has a sense of importance and power. Mostly you could tell since it has the standard armour for high ranking official councilor. It stand with a proud air, even more proud for the sangheili in front of him.
This was a ceremony of a sort. The sangheili in front of the prophets was getting promoted. "Hmmm... Well, your records tell us that you have shown exceptional skill. Not to mention your skill for tactics, close quarter combat, and leadership skills... This is quite amusing for a being of your standards." said the Prophet of Mercy.
"You have served the Covenant well, your loyalties to us is as acceptable as your father." said the Prophet of Truth, gesturing toward the sangheili in golden armour.
"Noble Heirarchy, we live to serve your bidding." answered the the sangheili up front, in a feminine voice. (DUM DUM DUUUUUUUM!) "I would like to give my humble gratitude to my father for the training and advices. It means a lot to me, for me to serve the covenant in honor." she continued in a zealous upbeat.
"For you to be the first female sangheili to exceed the ranks, unlike the rest, is simply unheard of. But with you as proof, I congratulate you, Rhy 'Cortavee." said the Prophet of Regrets. Rhy smiled when she was complimented by the Noble Heirarchy.
Rhy was the daughter of the councilor, Khan 'Cortavee. Rhy was a female sangheili determined to rise the ranks and become a shipmistress of her own fleet. Just like her father, who became councilor after he ascended the ranks. Rhy was not like other females who would be use as a tool of pleasure for the males. She was inspired by her father to become the greatest, respected in the covenant ranks. When she tried convince her father to let fight in the human-covenant war, he disagreed. But shortly after she managed to do so when she bet that if she win in a duel she could go, of not then... Never mind.
When she won she joined the war, after she did, she started rank up faster than any normal male sangheili. It was all because of her tactics and cunning strategy that helped win a few battle. That was one of the greatest advantage she had which baffled the Prophet back then. She came from a long line of proud warriors, which explains about her stubborn attitude some times.
Now, she has experienced a fair share of her battles and about to be commented by the Prophets themselves. "your skills should be helpful to win this war, therefore I recommend that you should join the front lines an-" Mercy was about to continue but Truth cut him off.
"yes. Your skills are admirable, but I'm afraid that we have other plans for you," Rhy began to be disappointed, "while we admire your accomplishments and feats, but your service is required elsewhere." Rhy was plain angry when she heard this, but tries her best to hide it. "We expect you to prepare for your journey to a distant facility." Rhy was curious a bit so she decided to ask.
"What facility? What's my purpose there exactly?!" she could felt her fathers disapprovement of the act she's committing. But she was given an answer, nonetheless.
"It is a facility of Lekgolo, this facility is fatal to our cause. Your duty there is to protect it from our enemy. Your skills could provide some use to defend the factory... Unless you disapprove of this duty we bestow upon you."
"N-no your excellence, I gladly accept this blessing" Rhy replied, trying to sound grateful.
"Good... Now you will rank up as a zealot to prove your loyalties to us and I expect you will serve the Covenant well." said Truth, "you're dismissed." After that, Rhy turned and left followed by her father. But Mercy was still confused on the choices of his brothers.
"Why assigned her to that facility brother?" asked Mercy.
"Because... She's to ambitious. I do not trust her full resposibility to our army. She would do less harm where she stays now. It's not that I don't find her skills amusing, it's just that... I don't trust her." he said with a blant expression. The rest of his brothers began to agree to his terms and decide to continue to a different matter.
...
Meanwhile, Rhy and her father stood outside the temple. She was in a foul mood, she worked her whole life to get this far and here she is-assigned on guard duty. But her father tries to settle her down before she overreacts.
"Look, I know your disappointed-," he said when Rhy growl stopped him, "-But, the hierarchy choice is valid. You should except this as your mission." he finished.
Rhy just stood there staring in to the distance with her arms cross and her back turned to her father. "I just want you to know that I'm proud of you... You have made it this far, unlike the other females... At least you get to be out there, instead of being in the home guard." he continued. When she already cave in on that part when he said he was proud of her. Her shoulders sagged and she turned to her father.
"I know, father... Thank you... I would you make you proud and fulfill my duty." she said, her father just smiled at her and even though he wanted to embrace her, his pride just prevent him to do so. He cleared his throat held out to her a special gift.
"you already have, my daughter... Here. Take this." in his hands was one of his energy swords he used in battle. The handle was decorated in gold trims, with dark green color mixed with it.
Rhy was surprised at her father's gift, she took the handle and gave grateful stare to her father. He smiled at her reaction then he turned serious the next moment. "Now, you should prepare yourself. The journey would be long, get some rest." Rhy nodded to her father and made her way to get equipments, supplies for her travels
The next day, Rhy was boarding a ship that will take her to her destination. She gave one last look to her family before she climbs the ship. Then she met the sangheili that will drop her off. He was a sangheili, spec op commander. And his name was Silver Sword. He was a friend of her father, who fought alongside each other in a few skirmishes. The name he gained was because his feats in fighting with the sword.
Rhy was on her way, and she's already thinking that the facility won' that bad. Little did she know of her destiny she will partake in her adventures.
Whew! Got that out. P.S. review on what you think about this. A few suggestions would be helpful. Also, from now on I'm about to refer every alien by their human names. Their damn names are so CONFUSING!
Well thanks for reading- PEACE.
