1: Demon God Saga
Chapter 1: Old Threats Surface
Young Saiyan and full-time Time Patroller, Mohan, defeated Demigra alongside Goku, Trunks, and the Supreme Kai of Time. After the battle, Goku took on Mohan as his student, and for a whole month, taught him everything he knew. Everything from the Kaioken, to the Super Kamehameha, to the Spirit Bomb. Mohan wore the same clothing that Goku wore, except the symbol on the front and back read "Mo" instead of "Go". Mohan and Goku were transformed in their SSJ forms, battling it out in a chamber located in TokiToki City. They matched each other crushing blow for crushing blow, both slightly emitting electricity, despite not even being in their ascended levels. Goku and Mohan threw a punch, with each fist connect toward their face. As they separated, they fired more blasts toward one another. Mohan used the beams as cover to appear behind Goku and knock him towards the ground, and fired a ball the size of an adult head toward Goku, but Goku caught it and threw it back.
Mohan deflected it and Goku then appeared behind him, but Mohan had already anticipated it. He used the arm that he had deflected his blast with to turn a 360 and backhand Goku's face, but Goku blocked and countered with a kick to the ribs, which caused Mohan to cough up saliva. Goku swung him around and threw him to the ground. From the debris, Mohan came out firing a large beam toward Goku, which he countered with his own large beam. They struggled back and forth, with the two beams emitting bright lights that enveloped the entire room. Rock lifted and flew around the battling beams of energy. Mohan's blast beat Goku's, but Goku caught it and fought hard to keep it from damaging him further. Mohan eventually put more power into the blast, pushing Goku back, but Goku voiced out a large scream and forced it back toward Mohan with his own energy.
Mohan wouldn't allow it to happen and kept it from him. The beam became a giant ball of twisting energy, being kept in the middle of Mohan and Goku's struggle, who both tried like hell to push it towards one another. They both voiced a giant roar once again, but the blast exploded under the pressure, consuming them both. From the smoke and rubble, their clothes were in tatters and they were bruised up, with Mohan almost unable to walk, being supported by Goku out of the chamber they were in. Outside of the chamber were Trunks, TokiToki and the Supreme Kai of Time, who awaited their return.
"So, who won the battle this time you two?" Asked the Kai of Tme. Goku gave his trademark high pitched goofy laugh.
"Mohan definitely came at me with everything this time. It was closer than I thought, but in the end, I still had a bit more power after he exhausted everything." Goku looked and smiled at Mohan, as he did the same. "But, it could have very easily ended up the other way around." He added.
"That's amazing Mohan! Goku reached God status in terms of power, but you managed to give him a run for his zeni! It's truly amazing!" Trunks praised. Mohan grinned and gave his partner a thumbs up. The Kai of Time healed their wounds and replaced their tattered clothing with fresh, stronger ones. Goku and Mohan stretched and thanked the Kai. A few jokes and other various topics were thrown around for a few minutes as they relaxed for a while. A number of times, TokiToki would land on the Kai's head to get a few laughs from the others. "Anyway, all jokes aside, Mohan, it's time we head back to the city. We have a few new Time Patrol candidates to test out."
Mohan nodded, but almost in quick succession, Goku's stomach began to growl. He scratched his head and laughed goofy. Trunks sighed and pleaded the Kai of Time to make Goku a buffet while they checked on the candidates. Back in the city, as Trunks and Mohan walked, Mohan in particular received a lot of popularity in the time he beat Demigra. Fans, fangirls, paparrazzi, the whole crew came to either ask for autographs or to give him presents, to take pictures and so much more. After a while, Trunks had everyone leave, but the damage was done. Mohan had to carry about 100 different presents on his own, though it wasn't any trouble at all.
"It feels like just yesterday that Hakusa told me that I was amazingly weak through her scouter, and now I'm getting Hercule publicity X10." Mohan said, reminiscing the beginning of it all.
Trunks chuckled. "Well, it's to be expected. You beat the Demon God Demigra. He had been storing up power for 75 million years, Mohan, it's no wonder why everyone is so attached to you.
"Yeah, I guess." Mohan looked up. "It's been a year now, hasn't it?"
"Yup. You and I have been partners for a year now, but like you said, it feels like just yesterday." A group of Time Patrol Candidates were lined up. Two Human, one Majin, three Namekian, and one Saiyan. "Seven of you, huh? That's quite a lot this time around." Trunks cleared his throat. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Trunks. And this here is my partner, Mohan.
"Hi there, everybody!" He yelled out, behind all the presents he was still holding up. The candidates smiled awkwardly. Trunks quickly corrected Mohan to put the presents down so he could greet them the right way. "Oh, right! Sorry!" Mohan dropped all the presents, revealing himself to them. "Again, I'm Mohan, nice to meet ya!" Mohan quickly adjusted his mood to a serious competitiveness. "Let's cut straight to it, if you guys can last 30 seconds against me, we'll accept you guys as Time Patrollers, if not, you go back to your mentors for some more training!
"30 seconds? We were told it would be a 5 minute sparring match." One of the candidates stated. Mohan grinned and scratched his head.
"Well, normally, yes it would be, but since I took over Trunks's job to test you guys, it was narrowed down to 30 seconds for your sake.
"Why?" Mohan seemed to have a hard time explaining the reasoning, continuing to scratch the back of his head, smiling nervously, afraid that they might back out if he told them the reason.
"Well~ you see, I have a VERY hard time holding back and occasionally knock the candidates to the three corners of TokiToki City, which results in Trunks yelling at me. The seven candidates all look at each other, as if reaching a unanimous agreement.
"We quit." The response shocked both Mohan and Trunks into complete silence and stillness. After a few minutes of standing there like statues, Trunks looked at Mohan.
"Ok~next time, how bout we just let me do the sparring with them? Ok?"
"Fine..." Mohan said in disappointment. Trunks then got a telepathic message from the Kai of Time to report back to the Time Nest, quickly. Mohan and Trunks both ran back to the Time Nest to see what the rush was about. The Kai of Time pointed at a scroll of eternity, which had been engulfed in a dark aura, just like the previous battles of time that took place a year back.
"Why is the scroll of eternity emitting dark energy again? I thought we went through this already!" Trunks yelled. Mohan and Goku looked into the scroll to see the timeline that was being tampered with. The year read Age 774, the period where Dabura was about to be killed by Majin Buu. Time shifted, and Majin Buu set his aim immediately on Gohan, Supreme Kai, and the elite Time Patroller who was supposed to take care of the matter, Leyna.
"Leyna's there with them?"
"I sent her because you guys were busy and she was more than capable, but things took a turn for the worst fast."
"Wait, when this happen?" Mohan asked.
"Shortly after you guys left. I just finished cooking up stuff for Goku and BAM, the scroll went dark on me!" Mohan watched Majin Buu attack them, while leaving Dabura free to go.
"I already have some idea about what's causing this."
"You do?" Trunks doubted.
"I'm going in." Mohan said.
"I'll go with you."
"No, we already have one Time Patroller there, two more might cause unnecessary contradictions. If things get bad, we'll come right back." Trunks thought about it for a second but soon decided to let Mohan do his thing. He knew that he was more than capable of taking care of himself.
"Here, take these with you!" Goku yelled out, throwing a bag of senzu beans to Mohan. "I intended to use these after our training session, but the Supreme Kai of Time helped us out. So give those to anyone who might be injured."
Mohan held up the bag, smiled, and nodded. He focused his attention toward the scroll and transported himself to the time period that had been altered.
That's the first chapter guys. Those who have spent excessive amounts of time playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse shouldn't have any kind of trouble going along with this story. It might be a bit "spoilish" to those who haven't seen the game yet, but it shouldn't be too bad. Now, there were 2 characters mentioned in this story, so I want to take the time to elaborate on them, because both of them are in the game (albeit not the actual story, which is why I want to explain them)
Hakusa, the person mentioned by Mohan as he's carrying the presents, is a green haired girl with a scouter and a relatively high power level. She is in the game as an NPC that you can talk to. When you level up in the game, if you talk to her, she will say you're weak, but soon her comments will change to being not bad, impressed, and shocked about your power. She is in the Plaza of Time, where you start off in the game and easy to find.
Leyna is a small Saiyan girl who is a level 50 in Time Patroller rank. She is also an NPC, but unlike Hakusa, you can recruit her to your party if you are in the offline server to do parallel quests (I don't know about online though). You can find her in any location if you actually take the time to look for her, because she's never in one place. She has long black hair like Yamcha, a pink scouter, and wears Vegeta's early Saiyan armor when he came to Earth.
My character, Mohan, is obviously the saiyan I created at the start of the game. His appearance is the saiyan in the cover image. He's shorter than Goku, and slightly shorter than Trunks. Just about Vegeta's height.
