"Neela's Memories"

Disclaimer: I do not own ER, it's characters, or it's content.

Neela's mind was spinning. Ever since Dr. Gallant had left everything had been coming back to her. Not just the memories with Gallant but everything that even happened when she was just a young child. She couldn't explain while these memories were all flooding back, but she admits it was very strange.

"Wow it's hot." Someone exclaimed. The air was not working in the ER at the moment. It suddenly had died at the beginning of Neela's shift.

"What the bloody hell is going on?" Neela yelled when a patient replied to her that they were never coming to this hospital again if they even lived through the heat.

"The air quit." Abby told her.

"That's great." Neela sighed. She set her elbow on the desk and leaned her head on her hand.

Flashback

1986

"Neela. Neela come here." A young beautiful nurse said.

"I don't want to." Neela sniffed.

"Neela, this may be the only time you can say hello to your brother." The nurse cried.

"But I don't want to!" Neela said as she slammed a book onto a table. The slam made the lamp on the table shake and fall, the nurse caught it just in time.

"Neela listen to me. If you don't do this now you will regret it." The nurse said with tears in her eyes.

"Just leave me alone!" 6 year old Neela yelled as she ran down the hall, away from the madness.

End of Flashback

"Neela!" Someone yelled.

"Huh?! What? What! I'm up! I'm up!" She yelled as she saw Abby standing over her.

"Who can possibly fall asleep in the hand?" Abby asked laughing.

"Who couldn't in this heat?" Neela replied back with somewhat of a dirty look but Abby was unable to see it as she had her back turned. Neela was thankful.
