"Ah, Miss Cartwright. What can I do for you today?" Cappie opened the door to see the familiar face. "This isn't about your brother at all is it? I didn't mean to ruin his little…oasis…but we had to put the other guys somew—"
His sentence was cut off by Casey's lips against his own. He was taken off guard and stumbled back.
"Case…what? Wait! Max…you…not me…not us!"
"I've been thinking Cap," She began looking at her feet.
"Uh-oh."
"Cappie, I broke up with Max."
"When?" Cappie was surprised and his tone did not hide it. "I thought you two were happy."
"It didn't feel right."
"And what feels 'right' to you?"
"Someone who can have fun. Someone who laughs a lot and isn't so serious about being an engineer…" She paused for a second and looked at him with big, round, brown eyes. "Someone who plays hacky sack while the sun's shining."
Cappie grinned, bent down, and pressed his lips to hers.
"I missed you too Case." He mumbled.
