Even though you all know, I'm sure I should add this anyway:
I do not own Harry Potter, any of the characters, just the plot itself.
Hope you all enjoy!

"Black, Bellatrix!"
Bellatrix stepped forward, and sat herself on the stool. Professor McGonagall placed the old, almost-gray Sorting hat onto her head full of long black curls. The hat was too large for Bellatrix's head, and slipped over her eyes.
Almost at once, a voice started talking to her.
Aha! Another Black! And yet your thoughts of what house you want to be in are wavering slightly…
No! No, they're not! I want to be in Slytherin, I need to be in Slytherin, and you're damn well going to put me into Slytherin!
Yes… yes, perhaps you want to be in Slytherin after all. You don't need to be in Slytherin, though… and you certainly can't tell me that I'm definitely going to put you into Slytherin.
It's my choice isn't it?
Hardly.
Yes, it is. I belong in Slytherin. All Black's are in Slytherin.
So far, they have been. But you have the bravery of a Gryffindor, no doubt about that. You also have the ability to prove yourself. You have the mind and wit and intelligence of a Ravenclaw… but I don't see much of the humble personality of a Hufflepuff. Yes, you definitely show the most potential in Slytherin. You'll do anything for loyalty, is that right Miss Black?
Not that I know of, but thank you for being so formal, hat.
You're welcome.
Well, make your bloody mind up.
Ha! I think I ought to have said that to you. Pray tell, you may not mind being in Ravenclaw, though, would you?
Well, it is my second and only reserve. But I would always want to be in Slytherin.
Yes, you are cunning and independent enough to be in Slytherin. Very well, I see you are determined and there's no reason I should not put you in Slytherin. But, Miss Black, may I give you a warning?
Alright, then.
You will have the more chance of your early death if you are placed in Slytherin. You will risk your life for a cause that, in the end, will be defeated. You will waste fourteen and a half years in Azkaban, only to meet your death almost three years later. Do you still wish to be in Slytherin?
Duh.
Tell me why, Miss Black.
If I have an early death it means I'll never have to worry about being old and can live how I want until then. If I'm risking my life for a cause, at least I'll believe in it, because, hat, there's no way of anyone talking me into joining a cause that I don't want to join. I'm wasting fourteen and a half years in Azkaban, am I? Well, yes, that is a shame. But at least it means I know what I'll be doing wrong, so I can just refuse to do anything that will land me in that Dementor-filled hell hole. And I'll still have the three years to live.
Yes, but those three years will revolve around the cause to your death.
Still three years.
And, Miss Black, the leader of this cause will have the ability to talk anyone into it, unless they will want to face the most painful and horrible death imaginable by refusing. Either way, if you're placed in Slytherin, you'll die young.
My choice has not changed, hat.
Very well.
"SLYTHERIN!"
