Flack buttoned up his pink shirt and smoothed down his hair. He gazed lovingly at the young man still sleeping in their shared double bed. Danny always looked so amazingly gorgeous when he was asleep.
Across town, Stella and Lindsay were rudely awoken by the sound of a cellphone beeping.
"For God's sake Stella, turn that thing off!" Lindsay moaned sleepily. Stella reached across to the bedside table and picked up her cellphone. She had a new message.
"Oh my God!" squealed Stella. "Lindsay, get up. We need to go to the lab, ASAP!"
Lindsay turned back over, only to be hit by a flying pillow.
At the lab, everyone gathered anxiously in the breakroom. Sheldon and Sid had to stop themselves from falling asleep, as they'd spent all night in the morgue poring over medical textbooks together. Lindsay and Stella held each others hands, wondering what Mac had to say, although they had a pretty good idea. Danny and Flack were the only ones who seemed calm.
Mac and Adam came through the door, holding hands and looking like a pair of cats who had got the cream. Everyone looked at them in anticipation.
"Adam and I have an announcement," grinned Mac. He and Adam exchanged smiles and held up their hands, showing two identical diamond rings. "We're engaged!"
Everyone jumped up and threw their arms around Mac and Adam. They seemed a little taken aback, but enjoyed it all the same. After the rest of the team had finished hugging the happy couple and wiping away tears of joy, they sat back down.
"Danny, Flack, will you be out best men?" asked Mac. Danny and Flack tearfully nodded and agreed. Stella and Lindsay did likewise when they were asked to be the maids of honor. Sheldon and Sid agreed to be the wedding planners, and see to every last detail.
Lindsay and Stella went into the corner together and began to excitedly recall when they first got together. Adam and Mac went away to start planning the wedding, and Danny and Flack went to make out in the corner. Sheldon and Sid went back to the morgue, as they hadn't quite got through all the textbooks yet.
