Summary: Kagome Higurashi had found a Prince Charming in Takeru Takaishi- he was wonderful. Kind, handsome, funny, and made her feel good. He was the change of pace she needed, someone completely different from Inuyasha. Too bad that in the end it was too much like her romance with Inuyasha, he was a Prince but he wasn't hers to keep.

I do not own either Digimon or Inuyasha.

Chapter 1: Love

"Kagome, Please!" A blond man said loudly, desperation lace his pleaded .

"The papers are drawn up Takeru. all you have to do is sign. We both get visitation rights for both the boys and they can visit each other whenever they want. I'm not asking for child support or anything that belongs to you, you even get to keep the house. What more do you want from me?"

Kagome replied, her voice tired, with her pushing back her hair in frustration at the man sitting in front of her. Her Husband was never was one to cooperate.

Soon to be ex-husband she corrected herself.

"We can make this work, you know how I feel about divorce, you know that I don't want to put the kids through what me and my brother had to go through!"

He didn't want them to grow up in a broken home. To feel like it was their fault their parents weren't in love.

"Instead you want them to see us hate each other? You want them to grow up knowing that love is about lying and cheating? You want them to think that is okay to do to someone they "love"!"

She wanted them to see that love was real, that what even if their parents didn't love each other. Her boys would still know how someone should love. Her boys would grow to know real love.

They both knew what the other wanted but neither could give in.

"Kago-," Takeru was cut off promptly by his wife.

"You love her. Not me." Takeru's light blue eyes widen in realization. He didn't know what to say. While he did at one point think that the affection he held for his wife would grow to overcome his love for his childhood friend. He never thought she knew.

"I can't take it again, Takeru. Not again," Kagome spoke bitterly.

What was she talking about? Thought T.K.

"I thought you'd be my prince Takeru. You are a prince but you aren't mine." He felt bad he really did. He never thought Kagome would know about it and he'd never seen her cry over it, yell in anger yes, but never cry.

"O-okay." He couldn't stand it. Just like with Kari, he could not stand the way Kagome looked crying. The way her large dark blue eyes seemed to glaze over to look gray with tears.

He watched his wife of seven years leave the room.

He did love Kagome, she is the mother of his children after all, but he loves Kari too.

This is a test trail really. It may or may not continue and if it does the children of Kagome will play a larger role as the story continues.
