A short oneshot, that I just felt like writing.

Anything

After seeing Belle disappear from sight, he returned to his chambers in the West Wing, he had passed several servants who had been whispering their goodbyes to each other.

Passing the dark, crumbled down hallways and passages, he wondered how much of the castle would still be left standing after the last petal had fallen.

He glanced at the last two stubborn petals on the rose, he hunched over the bell jar and closed his eyes and spoke, "Please enchantress, if you have any mercy... I had to let Belle go sealing my fate, but please don't punish my servants for my decision. If you meant for me to suffer alone, so be it, I will. Give them their lives back and send them to live their lives far away from here, from me. You can ask me for anything in return..."

Outside Lumiere stood by the door, overhearing his Master's desperate plea.

"Banish me from my castle and give it to them," he offered. He would live out his life in the woods, hunting to survive. "What will it cost, tell me..."

No, he didn't want his Master to give up his home for them. Lumiere was making his own silent plea, telling the enchantress not to listen to his Master.

Beast put both his paws on the bell jar, "If I destroy it, sealing my fate ahead of time, would that appease you?" He looked up as if waiting for an answer that would never come, "Please, just tell me what it is. I'm not asking for any mercy concerning myself, only for the others."

He stepped down and lowered himself onto his knees in front of the pedestal, "Anything, just be merciful to them." He realised he truly didn't care about any consequences it might have for him. Could she even hear him? He saw the second to last petal fall. "Should you decide to come here, I'll be at the eastern tower." He wanted to be away from the rose when the last petal fell, he would notice it either way. He tried one more time, "Enchantress, what will you take for them? My human mind, my remaining freedom or even my life, just tell me and it's yours to take." He sighed when nothing happened and stood up to leave, "Anything..." He whispered as he left the room.

Noticing his Master's approach Lumiere quickly hid from sight. When he passed, he looked after him with sad eyes. His Master had left the door open and he looked inside, he saw the rose and Lumiere walked closer. "Enchantress, please keep him safe."
