When DS Max Carter gets wind of a dangerous gun trade, he's determined to bring it down, even if Scotland Yard already have a person on the inside. Striking a deal with Scotland Yard, Max manages to get himself sent under too under the promise he won't intrude on the investigation of Scotland Yard's girl on the inside. But when Max recognises the Scotland Yard operative he can't help but use the connection to his advantage.

Will he jeopardise her life in the process?

Or will he save her when he realizes she's far too involved for her own good?

And who else will emerge from the mess to challenge Max?

Old allies become enemies and in the end Max has to choose between the investigation and a promotion or saving the girl…
