*I wrote this a while ago, angry at Nick's harsh death. I felt it wasn't over yet. Since they never explained it in the show, I like to believe this really happened. Enjoy!*
As he lay in Connor's embrace, he shuddered as he took his last breath and closed his eyes. Nick Cutter was gone.
As Nick closed his eyes, a bright light enveloped him completely. He felt himself leave this earth to a place that looked exactly like the first anomaly he entered so long ago. It was complete and unspoiled beauty. He then saw two figures approaching him, also enveloped in white light. He couldn't recognize them, so he strained his eyes to see better. As they approached him, he realized it was his best friend, Stephen, and Ryan, the SAS Soldier who saved his life a long time ago. As he embraced his old friends, he then started to realize that he was dead, and he was in a place of eternal happiness. But there was one thing missing...Stephen gestured with his hand to the top of a hill close by. There he saw the one thing his heart desired, his first true love, Claudia. Bright light cascaded behind and around her. She was even more beautiful than anything he had ever seen on earth. "I thought you were gone forever." Nick thought it was too good to be true to be able to see her again. As they embraced, she explained. "Long ago, when I disappeared, I was considered dead, not gone. Instead, my life was duplicated. Jenny's life was created, and I came here. I've been waiting for you for a long time." Nick and Claudia then embraced again and kissed a kiss that mirrored the last time they saw each other on earth: in the light of the anomaly, except this time, they kissed in the lights of heaven, in eternal happiness forever more.
