He could give up now, he thinks, but Sammy is still out there and he can't die until he knows his brother is safe.
As another fist swings at him, he wonders if this would qualify as an honourable death. He's certainly going down swinging, he muses as he feels a hand fisting in his hair and the touch of steel across his throat.
Trying to breathe, ignoring the warmth of his own blood trickling down his neck, he's never been happier to hear Sam's confused "Dean?"
And he knows he's not alone. He's not going to die.
Not tonight.
