At
slow speed we all seem focused
In motion we seem wrong
In
summer we can taste the rain
Hayner was amazing when he was running. He didn't have that dingy run that guys his age usually have where everything bounced around, or a girly run, or a waddle. His run was perfect. I chased after him in second place at best with Pence and Olette behind us, trying to keep up.

And just like the

We play out our last scene
He looked back at us, glancing first from me to the Pence and Olette, and laughed, almost like a challenge. I wasn't even sure where we were going anymore. We were far away from the city, somewhere after the long, long tram tracks and passed all the weird-o stuff that have been going on. Just the four of us.
Two
can play this game
We both want power
In winter we can taste
the pain
I jump started my pace, leaving poor Pence and Olette the dust. I caught up to Hayner, ignoring the challenging smile he was giving me as his pace sped up. He was only inches ahead of me. I took a glance around the area, realizing that somehow we had ran away far enough to find the beach. The sun was setting over the water, but I had no time to stop and watch. Hayner was already out of reach by the time I looked back at his trail.
Hayner slowed down in front of me enough to suddenly bump into him, and land us both in the sand. I rolled off of him and stood up, offering my hand to help him to his feet. It was my fault after all. He grabbed it and stood himself up, looking up at the clouds rolling by.
He sat down on the sand and propped his arms on his knees. I followed, sitting down with Olette next to me and Pence on the end. We lay down in the heated sand, not saying a word and just looking up at the clouds floating by. They did make some odd shapes though. Olette took my hand in hers, and I looked down at her, noticing that she also grabbed Pence's. I looked up at Hayner, who glanced down at me. I offered him my right hand, and at first he looked at my quizzically. He eventually set his hand in mine and we looked back up at the sky.
In
our short film a love disgrace
Dream a scene to brighten face
In
our short years
We come a long way
To treat it bad just to
throw it away
I closed my eyes. Running all that way took a lot of energy; we were all panting. I must've dozed off, because the next thing I know when I wake up, Hayner is crouching down next to me, "C'mon, Roxas, we're taking the tram back to town. You don't want to make us late, do ya?"
I sat up, and brushed the sand from my hair, and took Hayner's offered hand and stood up. I looked over to see Olette and Pence standing and waiting for us.
"I'll race you." Hayner offered, already getting in his ready position. I glanced down at him, rolling my eyes but complying and getting to the start position. Olette flagged her arms, and threw them down, signaling to go. I darted forward, with Hayner right next to me with his amazing run. Sand danced from our footprints that we embedded into it, both pairs of legs thumping the ground almost rhythmically, in sync with our heartbeats.
