Blah. Its kinda short. But it s only teh first chappie/ prolouge thing. Enjoy.

Katara had been preparing. She was going to leave. She knew Sokka would be pissed, and Aang would be sad (she knew about that little kiddy crush). But she had to. God knows what that evil spoiled brat of a princess had planned for Iroh. She couldn't just let him perish like that. Even if it meant defying Sokka's orders.

She doubted anyone would recognize her. She had cut her a hair and it was style as a shot bob. They had gone into to town, and there Katara found a bottle of black dye. Katara abandoned her comfortable, modest water tribe outfit for something more fire nation-y. Her brother's anger had truly flared when he saw her in that -what had he called it?- skimpy tramp outfit. Of course, Sokka was one to exaggerate. It wasn't so bad. It was just he was used to the very covering water tribe clothes. The fire nation clothes were actually quite flattering. The fire nation dress clung in just the right places showing off her petite frame perfectly. The red made her eyes pop out more. Not that they didn't by themselves. It was like peering into Sapphires. No they more of Cyan color. The color little kids color clouds. Not white but a very light shade of blue. The shoes she didn't like to much. They were kind of tight and uncomfortable. But she assumed you got used to them, and she could always heal the blisters.

Katara had defied Sokka. She felt so terrible. But what could she do? She couldn't help if he wanted to be a jackass about it. So she had grabbed her knapsack and little by little she packed it. When no one was looking. She did it so nonchalantly. Sneak an apple here a pear there. No one would have guessed she was about to leave. To leave that very night. If only she knew how much it would change the rest of her life. All there lives.
