Freedom in Flight
John Sheppard has valued a great many things in his life but the one thing he's valued above all others is freedom.
And, to him, flying is freedom.
And loving Rodney McKay is like flying.
Naturally then, Rodney represents freedom but he also represents something else, sometime far more frightening.
He represents being tied down, bound to someone.
Because no matter how much he kids, John knows that he will never be able to let Rodney go.
Knows that he'll never want to let Rodney go.
What terrifies him most of all though, is that he knows he doesn't mind.
