"You know I wish you could see your face. You're grinning like a fool," Alex Gaskarth said laughing. His best friend pushed him in the shoulder then put a piece of her black hair behind her ear. They were sitting on her kitchen floor.
"Hey what day is it," she asked.
"Tuesday," Alex said smiling.
Ashleigh was his best friend. She would always listen to his girl problems and give him advice. And when she had guy problems, he put his jealousy aside and helped her. They grew up together and she stood by him when he had dreams to become a famous rock star. All of her support helped him and soon All Time Low was born.
He looked into her grey eyes and smiled. It didn't matter that he had to leave her again to go on tour because right now could last forever. Just as long as he's with her.

Alex would never tell her how he felt because he was afraid that he would ruin something so perfect. So as much as it hurt him, he decided to keep the fantasy of him and her together just a daydream away.

"Dude he's such a douche-bag. Leave your wife alone. You're making her look desperate," Ashleigh said laughing. Alex laughed along with her and wrapped his arm around her. He was back from being on the road for a couple months so he decided to take Ashleigh out for the weekend. They both had busy lives and they needed a weekend away. They were sitting on a park bench laughing as they saw a guy run after his wife.
The hours passed by and they ended up at a bar. Alex had a little too much to drink so Ashleigh offered to drive him home. Once she helped him inside, he offered her one of his t-shirts and she stayed the night.

That night, Ashleigh spent the night in Alex's arms. As much as she wanted to tell him her feelings for him, she knew she couldn't. She didn't want to ruin the friendship. So she decided to keep that thought of being with him, just a daydream away.

Every time Alex came back from being on the road, he would spend all his time with Ashleigh. They grew closer and closer with each other. But as much as he wanted to, he never told her about his feelings towards her.
Ashleigh knew that she had fallen hard for her best friend but she knew she had to keep her feelings a secret. He never could feel the same about her so being afraid to lose him, she kept the future she so wanted with him just a daydream away.
