Introduction- Were I get a little longwinded and

might bore you (sorry).

Most of you have probably read those books Magnus Chase has released. Am I right? Of course I am, why else would you be here on a fanfiction site reading more stories about the books. Well, I have read them too, but I wouldn't classify myself as a fan. My name is Connor O'Shea, I am a resident of Floor Eighteen at the Hotel Valhalla, and I want to tell you the real inside scoop on the Hotel and its, um, 'guests.'

Magnus did a great job telling you about one of the reasons we exist, I guess. The heroic quests to prevent Ragnarök. But as for the HOW we prepare for the day itself, well, Magnus didn't really do that. Yes, he touched upon it by mentioning the training, but he rarely touched on the daily interactions of the hotel guests. He only occasionally touched upon the past lives of us Einherjar, particularly in the last book, where it is revealed that things were not always peachy between the residents of Floor Nineteen. But he didn't show you the day-to-day things. It was always the big adventures. Why do you think it took him three books to even discuss the past lives of his hall mates? I will tell you why- it's because they were not important until then.

You are probably wondering- How are the day-to-day interactions important?

They are important because these interactions dictate how we fight together. Are we a cohesive group, a true collection of shield brothers and sisters, or a loose rabble that could turn on each other?

I'm sorry Maggie Beantown, not all of us had a great time when we first arrived here. Not all of us had hall mates that got on well together and accepted us for who we were. And, my dear brother-boy, if you think your life was complicated outside the hotel, hold on to your butt. I may not have been homeless, but that's not the only way to have a sucky relationship with the human world.

I hope you guys stick around and read my story, and find out about the real Hotel Valhalla.
