Harry awoke to the sound of his Aunt Petunia banging on the cupboard door, telling him repeatedly to get up. He felt a twinge of aggravation at his aunt as the small, warm body curled into his side stirred and whimpered softly. He was ok with the Dursleys waking him up so rudely and early inthe morning but why couldn't they leave her alone? He looked down at his little sister tucked under his arm and smiled as she snuggled closer to him. Her small head was resting on his chest, her long, silky, black curls slightly falling into her face as she shifted. He raised a hand and lightly stroked her hair, brushing it out of her face and soothing her back to sleep. Harry ignored his cousin's obnoxious yelling and stomping on the stairs above as he put on his glasses and gently laid his sister's head on the pillow he had, until very recently, been using and covered her up with the thin blanket they shared. Then he quietly left the cupboard to go make breakfast for the Dursleys.

After a rather testing morning meal, Harry made his way around the dining room wiping down the table while his Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin were upstairs getting ready to pick up Dudley's friends for the day ahead. You see, today is his cousin Dudley's birthday, and normally every year Harry's Aunt and Uncle would leave he and his sister with their neighbor then go pick up Dudley's best friend and go to the zoo, or the cinema or other places and get lots of treats and presents. This year however things were a bit different...
