Annabelle breathed in deeply, enjoying the wonderful, magical smell of Hogwarts. "It's so great to be back!" she commented to the tall, dark haired boy walking beside her. "Yeah...," he replied, completely unenthusiastic. "Oh, cheer up, Evan!" Annabelle smiled cheerfully and shoved him playfully, "I can't wait to learn new spells, make exciting potions, eat in the Great Hall, sit by the fire, and see all our friends!" "What friends?" Evan asked skeptically.

"Fine, make new friends, then!"

"You're way too optimistic about being at school."

"Oh Evan, it's more than school! It's our home for the year! It's where we eat sleep, read, talk, and just plain live! Not to mention that we learn magic!"

"Whatever...," Evan replied, walking away.

Annabelle raced down the hall after him, "Come on Evan, let's go unpack," grabbing his arm and leading him toward the stairs, she said quietly, "This year will be different. This year i'll become a better witch and i'll get the guy of my dreams to realize we are ment for each other. This year i'll make a year I'm going to do something special."
