"Just run!" a young girl screamed to her friends. She was trying to protect them from the short in stature, shadowey figures.

"Where am I? All I remember is pain and fear..."

"We can't just leave-" one of the girls friends started to yell, as the others pulled her away from their friend, who was frantically trying to defend them.

"Who am I? I can't remember... Why can't I remember?"

The young girl was now covered in the shadow creatures. She struggled to get up, but then felt a sharp pain in her chest. She gasped. "R-...Run-" she managed to choke out as her sight darkened, and she quickly began to lose conscious. The last thing she saw was her friends run as the rabid shadow beings chased after them.

The sun always stuck at sunset, giving the world of Twilight Town that beautiful golden glow. A tall, thin man stepped out of a dark portal into the thick woods behind the wall, his long, dark, leathery, hooded, coat helped him blend into the shadows. With his hood up, it was hard to decipher who was underneath it.

He scratched the back of his head with a sigh. "Ugh, I've done recon on this place more times than I can count." He complained to himself. Regardless, he had a mission to fulfill, so he started to search the woods, his hands in his pockets.

He looked left, right, up, down, but no sign of anything. "'Start in the woods,' he said. 'You might be surprised what you find,' he said. As if."

The further he walked, the more it felt like he was going in circles. As he was getting ready to give up and waist his time elsewhere, he could see a pale figure on the ground in the distance. Finding it the only interesting thing at that moment, be went over to check it out. Upon reaching the figure, however, he was met with a naked, teenage to young adult girl. She has no clothes on... he stared.

"Hmph." He smirked. She was all curled as he started to approach her. "Hey, kid." He called, but she didn't respond. Her skin was so pale, one would think that she hadn't seen sunlight her entire life.

Getting annoyed with her not responding, he gave her a light nudge with his boot. "Kid! Wake up!" he shouted, his arms crossed impatiently.

A light breeze went by, causing the girl to shiver and groan. She blinked her eyes open lazily. She looked out of it. "Hm?" She began to sit up, almost like she didn't even notice him. She glanced around, then spotted the man, looked down at herself, and her eyebrows raised. "Uh- heh!" She jumped, then started to try and cover herself in any way she could; her limbs, leaves, behind a nearby fallen log, anything.

"Haha! Great~ You're awake. Now, Cupcake, all ya gotta do is achieve standing and talking then you're golden." He chuckled.

The girl stared up at him, her face perplexed. "H-how," she started in a dry voice. "Shadows... Shadow creatures. Blackness. Y-you're one of them?" She tried to run away, but ended up falling.

The man tilted his head. "Eh? As if. We could use you, so why would I kill ya?" He grinned.

She adverted her eyes from him as she turned over. Like most Nobody's, a lot of things were new to her. She used her arms to try and cover her chest as best she could, that proving a challenge in itself. She looked rather cold.

He sighed, took something out of another portal, leaned down in front of her and extended his hand to give her the extra coat, pants, and boots. "Relax, kid." He took his hood off. His black and grey hair falling out in a pony-tail, his skin tanned with a large scar on his left cheek, and a wondrous golden eye. "Here, put this on." He offered.

She pushed herself away from him, her legs tightly shut, her gaze darting between the clothes and his face. She looked confused. "Hey, at least I'm giving you clothes, dude. Unless you'd rather just stay like that." He smirked.

Her eyes widened and snatched the clothing from his hand. "Heh, fiesty one aren't ya?" He rubbed his hands off as he stood up and took a couple steps back to give her some room. He had a hand on his chin, observing her.

As he stared, the girl moved. She made a circular motion with her finger. "Huh?" He questioned. She rolled her eyes and pointed behind him, then to the clothes. "Oh." He shrugged and turned around.

After some rustling noises, he finally got the signal to turn back around. She was all dressed. His face was no longer cheery, but serious. "Alright. It's a bit big I'd guess, but once we get back we'll try to get some in your size." He informed her.

He began to step toward her again. "So, just be a good girl and come with me, 'kay?" He reached for her arm.

The girl crawled backward, tried standing in attempt to run again, and lost her balance. "Ah!" She exclaimed. The man quick-stepped over and caught her as she started to fall. The girl opened her eyes, confused as to why she didn't hit the ground, then looked up at the man. "Eh!" She pushed off of him and stumbled into a nearby tree to hold herself up.

"Gee, that's the thanks I get?" He shook his head. Getting down to business, he extended his hand toward her, palm out as blue letters appeared, spelling out her name, but it appeared backwards to her. The girl looked amazed by them. He tilted his head, then flicked his wrist, the letters whirled around her head on command.

She tried to shield herself from then, peeking only to watch them. She was quivering, but the man ignored it. He knew that each one reacted differently. He heard the stories.

Abruptly, he flicked his wrist again and a big, golden X appeared in the middle of the letters. "Hm.. Meh, the boss usually does this, but why the hell not?" He dismissed the lettering, leaving the girl looking puzzled.

He crossed his arms with a triumphant grin. "That's how we choose names, kid, and it looks like your new name is Knoxia. You have a new purpose now."

The girl narrowed her eyebrows in concentration. "Kno-... Kni-Knoshii." She struggled to pronounce her new name.

"Yup. you'll get used to names like that." He turned to open a portal.

"Mm. Then... What is... your name?" Knoxia asked.

He looked over his shoulder at her. "Xigbar. Don't wear that out, now." Xigbar gave a rough chuckle.

"Xig... bar. Exig- Xigber-" She grumbled.

"Until you get to know it, you can just call me Xig, alright, kid?" Xigbar opened up the Dark Portal.

Knoxia looked up at him with a smile and nodded. "Mhm." She peaked around him to see the portal. "Amazing..."

"Ya think that's interesting, wait 'til you see the inside." He gestured inside it. "S'alright. It's harmless."

She glanced up at him, then took a cautious step in. Xigbar followed after her. "Hm, good girl." He said, before he closed the entrance behind them.

They stepped out in front of large, white, double doors. Left and right were long white halls, and behind them was another white wall, making a large, empty hallway. Knoxia looked astonished, then confused as she glanced around. Everything was white. It was hard to judge the distance of anything, even the ceiling.

"That was one of our Dark Portals. Somethin' else you'll get used to on the job." Xigbar explained. "Follow me. They already know we're here." He opened the doors, and proceeded inside, soon followed by Knoxia. The doors closed behind them with a quiet ke-chink. He lead her through the white fogged room, the sound of a deep voice bellowing around the room.

"I am pleased to announce that a new comrade has been chosen to wear the coat." The voice said, clearer as they got closer.

Xigbar brought her up onto a large, circular platform with the Nobody symbol on it. Her eyes were still on the ground, but Xigbar looked up. There were thirteen tall chairs. One would wonder how they got down, or didn't fall off.

"Number XV. Let us welcome Knoxia to our ranks." The deep voice announced, which caused the girl to look up as well and go wide eyed. Upon all the chairs were figures in black coats like hers, with one standing out from all of them; a dark tan skinned, flowing white haired man with the same golden eyes as Xigbar.

At first she seemed speechless. "Th... thank you. Sir." Knoxia was stiff as a board as she inched closer to Xigbar. Everyone was staring at her.

"Xigbar," the white haired man began. "You will watch over our new member. Show her around, make sure she stays out of trouble and teach her our ways." The man said. His voice was so smooth that it was almost eerie.

Xigbar gave a nod with a hand gesture, "Will do." God damn it. Why do I get stuck with the new kid? Xigbar thought irritably.

The white haired man then turned to someone in one of the lowest chairs. "Demyx, you will be in charge of housing her until we can find an open room."

The mullet haired boy blinked. He glanced between Knoxia and the man. "But-" he started.

"Then it's settled. You shall share a room with our number IX, Demyx." The man gestured to the dirty blond. Demyx seemed irritated, but didn't protest.

"As for the rest of you? Dismissed." The man announced before he vanished. The new girl got some curious looks, before they all disappeared in the order of their number.

"Good luck." Xigbar waved as he disappeared.

"So, I guess you're bunking with me for now, huh?" A voice sighed behind her. Knoxia whirled around to face the voice, only to see Demyx. He smiled, "Don't worry, though. You're lucky you got bunked with me and not one of the others." He chuckled. She smiled slightly.

Demyx's smile seemed to widen at her reaction, opened a portal, then stopped. "Oh!" he snapped his fingers, making her jump. He pulled a small book out of his coat pocket and handed it to her. "I had to give this to you." She opened it, but all the pages were blank.

"It's a journal. You write what you're thinking and what you did down in it." Demyx told her cheerfully. "We won't read it, so it's sorta like a diary, I guess." Knoxia nodded in a silent response and stuck the book in her pocket. They walked through into Demyx's room.

"Well, since you're the guest, you can take the bed I suppose." He offered. Knoxia narrowed her gaze and shook her head.

"What? You want to sleep on the floor? If I let you do that, Xemnas would think I'm neglecting you. Then you'd have to stay with someone else. You don't want that, right?" He asked in a sarcastic tone.

Knoxia put her hand on her chin. She seemed to be thinking hard about it.

"Aww come on~" Demyx pushed.

Knoxia smiled a little and shrugged.

"So, that's a yes, then? You'll sleep on the bed?" Demyx fidgeted with his fingers, his turquoise eyes darting between her and the bed. She nodded her confirmation. "Alright, good."

After a moments silence, Knoxia asked, "Who is... Xemnis... Xemix...Xem-"

"Xemnas." Demyx cut her off. "That deep voiced, scary guy? That's him. He's our boss. The first member of Organization XIII."

She shifted her eyes, as if trying to comprehend what she was hearing. Demyx chuckled again, "I'm going to get some extra pillows and blankets, then we can go to bed. Sound good?" Knoxia gave him a nod as he disappeared into a Dark Portal.

Left on her own, Knoxia started to explore her temporary sleeping quarters. She noticed that he had a blue and white guitar next to his bed, splashes of blue covered parts of the plain white walls, almost resembling waves. Little trinkets were scattered about on desks and tables, including his nightstand table, like a seashell, guitar picks, and a necklace.

She went over to his desk to see unfinished reports, and neat little drawers with water and dolpin designs on them. She tilted her head, then sat down in the plain white chair. She stare at the desk in a trance.

"I see you're getting used to things."

She jumped up from the chair, nearly falling over as she heard Demyx come back.

He flashed a smile, "It's ok, you can sit there. That's what it's for." He teased. She adverted her eyes to the floor, before hesitantly sitting back down. She took out her journal and opened it to the first page, but realized she had nothing to write with.

"You can use one of my pens if you want. I get new one's everytime I go ou- I mean... go on a mission." Demyx quickly corrected himself. He started to make up his make-shift bed in front of his bed.

Knoxia took one of the pens that had an underwater design on it, which consisted of rocks, dark green seaweed, different kinds of fish, and began to write with it.

I don't really know what to put here, but it seems I'm now a part of a group called Organization 13.
Not sure where I am... Everything's white, and so plain... except for Demyx's room so far. He has colorful things.

She half smiled to herself.

Going to have to ask where this place is later.
From the one's I've met, Xigbar and Demyx, this place doesn't seem too bad, but Xemnas is rather creepy. Even when he smiles. It's eerie.

She shivered a little, then went on.

I have so many questions I want to ask. Like why I was in a forest without my clothes? Why I was chosen to become a member of an organization? Going to have to remember how to speak properly first... Oh! And why I can't speak like normal and why I have...

She stopped as she started to realize something. She had no memories. Not specific ones, anyway.

And see if anyone knows why I can't remember anything.
Xigbar treats me like a kid, which I don't believe I am, plus he's assigned to watch over me. Demyx is nice, and I'm supposed to bunk with him. I don't think it'll be so bad.
I hope I don't have to interact with Xemnas much... he really just makes my skin crawl.

Anyway, don't want to use up a bunch of space, so I guess I'll stop here. I hope to get answers, get to know people, and not mess up on anything. Wait, Demyx mentioned missions. Will I have to do them? What will they consist of?

Knoxia sighed and rubbed her forehead to trying to get her thoughts back on track.

Oh well, that's all I know for now. Hope tomorrow goes better and gives me more information.

As she finally put down her journal, it felt like it was getting late. She had to admit she was exhausted. She got up, went over to the bed, nearly tripping over a sleeping Demyx on the floor. She smiled. He's pretty cute while he sleeps. She thought.

She took off her boots, set them aside, then curled up on the soft bed, cuddling the thick, ocean blue comforter with a content sigh. She quickly started to drift off to sleep. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Ah, konnichiwa my fellow readers! I know it's been nearly 4 years since I've touched this thing, but I'm back~ and revamping it with my new story telling skills : I did change Kextia's name, and design, but I tried to keep it as close to her original name as possible. Names are hard . Her original name held too much personal attachment for the time I made this... But I kept the K and 'ia' on the end ^^;

I'll be revamping the rest of the chapters as well, and once I'm done with them, I'll continue on with the story :) I'm also working on redrawing the cover, so I'll link that so you can see the full before and after when I get it done X3 Enjoy guys!
