Fishing
FlamedraSeer: -sniffs- Ah the friendship between Naruto and Sasuke was so sweet… I thought it would be a good example for a fanfiction. And after seeing a certain picture on DeviantArt, this wee little idea popped up. Of course, if someone wrote this before me, then just notify of the story, show it to me, and I'll remove mine if needed. It's short, but I didn't think it needed to be very long. And so without further adieu, here is Fishing, a SasuNaru FRIENDSHIP story.
Naruto's POV
He and I used to be really close, you know.
He was my best friend... and even though he didn't show it, I know I was his best friend too.
We'd compete for everything and he'd win.
And then he'd rub it in my face and I'd get mad.
TEME!
Usuratonkachi.
TEME!
Usuratonkachi.
We'd insult each other with the same curses over and over.
Sakura would side with teme and call me an idiot.
Kakashi-sensei would tsk and say we had no teamwork.
Maybe it was stupid to him, stupid to them, but in those "stupid" moments... I felt like I had a brother, a family.
He loved to go fishing.
Give him a rod and some bait and the teme would be at the creek the whole day.
I visited him there once and saw something that made me happy for him and scared for myself.
He smiled.
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!?
Teme smiled!
And so I went fishing with my best friend/rival/brother to see him smile.
We'd talk and fish.
So? Maybe that was a little... gay of me, fishing to see some other guy smile, but I wanted to make my 'brother' happy.
Until "it" happened.
I thought it was funny how he was abandoning us like how his brother abandoned him.
I tried to bring him back, telling him about how he was my brother and how the Team 7 was my family.
He ignored it all and tried to kill me, but he couldn't... because he was still my brother then.
He doesn't smile anymore.
He's not my brother, my best friend, my rival, not even the teme anymore.
And... We don't go fishing anymore.
But when I find him and bring him back,
Bring back Sasuke, my best friend/rival/brother.
Maybe, just maybe, we'll go fishing again.
