Memorial

There is no roughness, no violence, no bangs and shouts, no whispered spells and pointless arguments. There are no power plays, no dominance,

no submission. There is no hurt. There is no game playing.

Fleur lay on her back, propped up slightly by the pillow. She played with blonde hair, enjoying the silky texture between her fingers. She'd always thought that whoever she gave her love to would have darker hair. An odd thought, but one that had been proved wrong. Truth all told, Luna proved a lot of things wrong. She proved that loving could be easy. She'd proved that Fleur didn't have to act the part of perfect to be wanted.

Soft kisses on her collarbone broke Fleur's thoughts, and she looked down into the peaceful eyes of her partner.

"We should probably get up soon," she murmured, smiling slightly when Luna wrinkled her nose in dissent.

"I have a better idea," the younger woman whispered, continuing to pepper Fleur's skin with light kisses. "We can stay here all day, and enjoy the sunshine through the window. We can lay here together, and be happy that we exist, they we're alive, that we're here."

"But the war memorial -"

"We can have our own memorial. We should never forget the lost, love, but we should also remember that we're alive. We won. That can be our memorial."

Fleur succumbed to the feelings that Luna invoked on her body, agreeing that the plan sounded much better than standing with a family who had never truly accepted her, remembering her ex boyfriend. She didn't need one day a year and a ceremony to do that. She would never forget Bill, and she would always love him.

She tried one more weak reason to get out of bed. "Harry is expecting -"

Luna smiled. "Harry will be joining us for lunch tomorrow. Let go, Fleur. Let me remind you that you are alive."

There is only comfort, and happiness and love.
