"Why would you wake me, If you're not gonna save me?"
That damned song echoed in his head as she approached the elevator on the way to her evening date.
She was dressed to the nines: cute strappy sandals, flowing burgundy dress that bought out her green eyes by contrast. Simply put, she was beautiful.
The green snake of jealousy bit. She had been the first woman since Angela to make him feel like a man, but she shut him down three months ago when he asked for an evening out.
Actually she said, "No way in hell, Jane."
Damn.
