AN: I wrote this last Valentine's Day. It's very dark compared to just about everything I've written. However I still love it as it conveys an emotion that few people rarely feel.

She woke that morning as methodically as usual.
Red shirt, black pants she dressed herself in
Sneakers placed on her feet and ipod in her ear
She jogged into the world, disposition dark.
Everything was red…red, red
She jogged faster
Feeling swallowed into their midst.
'I love you' she heard the words
And her heart began to pang
That four letter word, banned from her vocabulary.
More red, red, red
'I love you' said again
Faster and faster she sprinted
Sweat pooling at the chest.
'I love you' it rang again
Her ears bleeding from that bell
Arriving at her sacred place
The place she and he once shared
Clouds grow ominous
She stops in her tracks
He lies under the tree
Smile on face
And her heart pangs again
He stands and she freezes
And turns in her direction
'I love you' is said again
And she feels the ice melt away
But,
Its snatched away
As she approaches his arms
Ring held in his hand
Smile never before seen
And her heart pangs again
'I love you' 'I love you' 'I love you'
They repeat to each other
And her heart pangs again
She searches inside
For that four letter word
Lust, Like, Envy, HATE
And her heart pangs again
She sprints away
Tears her only consolation
Her heart pangs again
She trips and falls to her knees
Her heart pangs again
She wants to scream
But can't
And so her heart pangs again
She reaches home
Draws a bath
Her heart pangs again
Sitting inside
Grabbing the slit
And her heart pangs again
Pale slicing
Red Gushing
And her heart pangs again
Skin cooling
Eyes dulling
Her heart pangs again
Orbs close
Smile grows
And her heart panged again.
This was difficult to type up seeing as I originally wrote it when I was going through a pretty rough time. And so you know I did use three Inuyasha character's in this. Bet you can't guess who they are ;)
