Deidara watched out the window of the car as the scenes passed by, strange thoughts dancing through his head. Madara watched the road as they drove through the country, sneaking a glance at his young lover every chance he got. The blond had been acting strange all day and he just couldn't figure out what was wrong. A few minutes passed as the tension grew, enough that the Uchiha just gave up and pulle doff to the side of the road.

Deidara blinked and looked to Madara with his dazzling blue eyes. Madara looked back at him, trying to search his pearl white face for any clue as to why he wasn't talking like he usually did. They stayed like that for a few minutes until Deidara broke the silence.

"Why did we stop, un?" Madara sighed and looked to him sadly.

"What's wrong? Why won't you talk to me?" Deidara was taken aback, thinking of an answer.

"...I was thinking, un...We are so careless, un." MAdara raised an eyebrow, motioning him to continue. "We go by day to day without a care in the world, un. Any day one of us could be killed, one of us could not wake up the next morning, un!" Tears began to well up in the blond's eyes. "I don't want to lose you without atleast a goodbye, un..." He sniffed, wiping at some of the tears.

Madara nodded quietly, taking it in as Deidara continued. "I want you to promise me something, un..."

To that Madara replied. "I would do anything for you." He said quietly, looking to his love.

"...Will you always... kiss me goodnight every night un?"

Madara smiled lovingly. "Of course. As long as I get to kiss you other times too~"

Deidara giggled lightly and smiled. "Of course un...But...Every night un...Since...I won't know if one of us will wake up the next morning un..."

Madara felt something crack inside of him, a feeling of overwhelming sadness at the thought of losing his precious spark, his Deidara. He wouldn't be able to go on. He would quit Akatsuki in a second, give up everything he worked for if it meant being with Deidara as long as they lived. Madara smiled lightly and leaned over, hugging him close.

"I will. And I will kiss you every morning to make sure you stay with me for another night."
