E/O Challenge: Ashen. Broken, Tense. Dean thinks maybe Sam might have the right idea afterall. Decided to go back and do ALL the prompts I've missed.

E/O Challenge: Ashen, Broken, Tense 100 Words

AN: I found the list of old words. So I'm going back through them and having a go at them. Because I don't have all the time in the world, I've decided to maybe use a few of the words in one drabble.

"Sam, I'm fine."

Sam didn't bother to answer, since his brother's version of 'fine' seemed to include sheltering the obviously broken ribs with an just as obviously broken arm. Sharp tremors of suppressed pain worked their way through tense shoulders and his ashen face was beaded with perspiration.

"This is ridiculous. Let's just head back to the motel."

Which was filthy, and of course couldn't accommodate any form of broken bone.

"You're blowing it way out of proportion."

Yep, 'cause Dean hadn't just barely walked away from a vicious battle with a vampire.

"Uh, Sam? Maybe a hospital wouldn't be a bad idea."
