Star Struck

Ch. 1- Intervention

"Does anybody have a 20 on Jennifer?" David said into his head set as he rushed around the movie set. "Check the prop room," came the response. Miss Jennifer Tilly was working on a new movie, "Intervention", in which her husband becomes a drug addict who is cheating on her. Jane, her character, then sets up an intervention to help him, and she visits his treatment center during family week. This was day 4 on the set in Texas, and it was already draining her. "Jennifer," came the small voice of her assistant Amy. "Derryl just phoned in, he wants you to know that at 5 pm there will be a meet and greet for Curse of Chucky." Jennifer sighed and nodded. Today was going to be a long day. "Alright, tell Joe I'll be waiting outside at 4:30." Amy nodded, marked on her notepad, and walked away. Jennifer was called to set. In this scene, the patients at the treatment center were doing an exercise where they had to express their concerns and praises in a healthy way. The camera began rolling and Jennifer recited her lines. "When you came home drunk with that woman and suggested I watch to see how it's done, or the time you were drugged up so bad you hit me and broke my nose, I feel-" then her "husband", Mark began yelling over her, " That never happened! You're a fucking lying bitch! All you ever do is whine-" "I FEEL INSIGNIFICANT AND MOCKED- don't you lie! No, don't blame this on me!-" The therapist stepped in, "Hey hey hey! Take it easy, no personal insults! Alright, everyone just take a moment..." and guided Jennifer's character away to help calm her down. After a few hours, the director called for a wrap up, which meant everybody could go home. Except for Jen, she had to go to a meet and greet. As promised, she was outside waiting for her driver at 4:30. As the car approached, she sighed thankfully. Once inside, she took off her shoes and relaxed. She had a half hour before the meet and greet, so she went home, changed, and hung out with her driver for the time being. They were close friends after all. "Ugh, this movie is so tiring," she said yawning. "It's like all I do is yell at my husband and cry. At least so far. But I am excited to be filming with Andie (MacDowell), she's amazing. She's so talented and nice." "Guess what my favorite movie of yours is," Joe said smiling. "Uh... Bound?" That was usually people's favorite, mainly because of the sex scenes and seeing Jennifer make out with Gina Gershon. "Actually no. Seed of Chucky!" he gushed. Ha ha, he was adorable. "Oh thanks! I loved filming that one too. Except being in Romania, there wasn't much to work with, and the bedroom design was pretty bad.. But I did love being in it, being all bitchy and slutty. The complete opposite of the real me," she giggled. "Ah, 4:50, we should get going." And off they went to the meet and greet. As expected, paparazzi swarmed the car as Jennifer made her way to the red carpet to pose for pictures, then to the table to meet fans. After a while, a woman with long blonde hair, green eyes, and a familiar voice walked up and asked for Jennifer's autograph. "Wow! Kirstie Alley.. I didn't know you were a fan! I'm totally star struck!" "So am I!" The two laughed and traded autographs, snapped pictures and said they'd meet up later that week. Jennifer smiled brightly as she hugged the next fan, who had her sign her playing cards, Chucky movie, and picture of Jennifer. After 10 pm, the lines of fans receded and finally it was time to leave. Exhausted, Jennifer went back home, drank a glass of wine, and went to bed.
