Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts, got it?
A/N: Hello. I wish this would happen to me. But I still have 3 days of school left. Anyway, this is a high-school AU, Xemnas is the principal and all of the other Kingdom Hearts characters are either teachers or students, depending on their ages.
Also, I find it funny that with how many Kingdom Hearts fanfics I've written, I have never used the names "Sora" or "Kairi" before, because they are not considered words in my computer's spell-check yet.
The Final Countdown
Principal Xemnas was talking endlessly, yammering on about something that no one really cared about. They did not want to listen about any accomplishments the school had made or how well the senior class did on getting into college. They just wanted him to stop talking so they could leave.
Ten…
Roxas glanced backward at the clock that hung on the back wall of the auditorium, groaning at the fact that there were ten whole minutes left.
Nine…
Demyx squirmed in his seat, his stomach churning with anticipation and excitement as he watched the seconds tick by on his watch. It was only a matter of time now.
Eight…
Axel threaded his fingers through his shockingly red hair, wondering how hard he would have to hit a paper football to land it on his brother Lea's head.
Seven…
Lea winced as a paper football hit him in the head and Isa rolled his eyes, telling Lea to pay attention. Lea sighed; Isa was a hypocrite. He wasn't paying the least bit of attention either.
Six…
Zexion turned a page in his book, wondering how much he could read in six minutes.
Five…
Sora was bouncing up and down in his seat, Riku was trying and failing to stop him, and Kairi was watching them gleefully.
Four…
Vexen decided that it was impossible to calm the students down, so he just leaned back in his chair and tried his best to ignore them.
Three…
Aqua tapped her foot against the ground, mumbling "come on, come on," under her breath. Terra told her she was being annoying.
Two…
Xigbar was nearly as hyper as the students, and he was almost ready to pull Xemnas off the stage if he didn't shut up.
One…
Xemnas finally stopped speaking, and as soon as he closed his mouth, the entire student body leapt out of their seats and cheered.
It was summer, at last.
