Hey guys! I'm competing in One-Shot Day, and I'm on an Amfie roll, so here's another One-Shot for all the Amfie lovers out there!

Disclaimer: I do not own the title of the story, or the song used. Bruno Mars does. I only own the plot.

I know you're somewhere out there

Somewhere far away

I want you back

I want you back

Alfie sat down on his bed and stared out the window.

It had been another day of Sibuna searching. It had been another day of trying to mask his pain for everyone. Another day of missing her.

My neighbors think I'm crazy

But they don't understand

You're all I had

You're all I had

Everyone had told him to just get over her. To forget she was ever at Anubis.

But somehow that just didn't feel right.

At night when the stars light up my room

I sit by myself

Talking to the moon

The night sky had been his best friend. He remembered the constellation Amber said she loved the most. It was the constellation that was shaped like a star. She said it shined bright just like them.

He smiled. He remembered that.

I'm tryin' to get to you

He'd ran away quite a few times.

In hopes you're on the other side

Talking to me too

He'd tried to get a ticket to New York, but he just wasn't rich like that. He could never see her again. And it sucked. It sucked a lot.

Or am I a fool

Who sits by his self

Talkin' to the moon

Sometimes he wondered if he was just stupid for even wanting to see her. She was probably running around with a new guy. They were probably in love. So much more in love then they had been. The thought pained him.

I'm feelin' like I'm famous

The talk of the town

Everyone at school had heard. They'd all try to give him sympathy. But Alfie didn't want it.

He wanted Amber.

They say I've gone mad

Yeah I've gone mad

Everyone thought he was crazy. Ever since the day Willow found him talking to the moon like a madman everyone had been telling him he needed help.

But once again, he didn't need help or sympathy.

He just needed Amber.

But they don't know what I know

'Cause when the sun goes down

Someone's talkin' back

Yeah they're talkin' back

Ooh

He wasn't crazy. He knew he wasn't crazy. And some part in him knew that one day he would get back to Amber. He wasn't alone. Amber was trying to tell him something. If he just listened to the stars, he'd find out just what she was trying to say.

At night when the stars light up my room

I sit by myself

Talking to the moon

Tryin' to get to you

But in another part in him, he knew he had to give up. Was all the pain really worth it? All he ever did was sit in his room talking to the stars. Maybe Amber wasn't even there.

But yet again, maybe she was.

Or am I just a fool

Who sits by his self

Talkin' to the moon

Alfie wasn't right. But he wasn't wrong.

Somewhere along the stars, Amber was telling him something.

Don't you ever hear me calling

She was telling him to let go.

'Cause every night I'm talkin to the moon

Still tryin' to get to you

In hopes you're on the other side talkin' to me too

Alfie could finally realize that now.

He had to let go. After almost 9 months, she wasn't coming back.

Or am I a fool

Who sits alone

Talkin' to the moon

Alfie knew what he had to do. He got up and closed the blinds to his window.

"I understand now." He took the picture of he and Amber and kissed it, throwing it in the trash.

It was over. Alfie was free.

Amber was somewhere out there. Somewhere far far away.

And he wouldn't be getting her back.

And that's just how it was.

I know you're somewhere out there

Somewhere far away.

There you go!

As I said I don't own the song used in the story or anything else. I only own the plot.

I hope you enjoyed!
