I'll Buy You Mangoes Baby
By Adele Elisabeth
Take that, you furry little… (Gillington, slash)
"I'll buy you mangoes, baby,
Your favorite fruit,"
- 'I Really Like You', Melissa Etheridge
Andrew Gillette was not a simple man, Norrington reflected. He'd known that from the moment he met him, years ago, but he had thought perhaps he was beginning to understand the other man.
Apparently not. He wondered if it were possible to understand Andrew, or if everyone was as bewildered by the acid wit and unexpected tenderness as he was.
He suspected the latter, just quietly.
He was beginning to feel that Andrew loved that irritating feline more than he loved him. (He didn't mean to step on the little beast's tail, and it was not his habit to wander around staring hard at the ground in case some little ginger tomcat decided to ambush his ankles)
It was time to bite the bullet and -- oh, the indignity -- grovel. He disliked being out of Andrew's good graces, it was such an unusual feeling.
Of course...
Bribery and corruption, anyone?
Norrington was very pleased to discover that Andrew still adored mangoes.
(Take that, you furry little bastard)
